An update on the Lace Coven events! 🌙✨
Events are running or are about to start, so I thought this is a good time to do some PR and share what we’re up to!
Lace along
Our first lace along took place for bobbin lace and tatting (have you seen those dragons flying around in the Tumblr sky?), and a new lace along is already about to start for crochet, needle and knit lace. Of course, we’ll have more rounds for all techniques so you can always join the next one!
The lace along works like this: everyone can submit free patterns for any lace technique, then there is a vote for each technique, and the selected patterns will be reproduced by everyone interested, within a timeframe decided by the participants. During lace along, you can share your progress, ask questions about the patterns, and of course share your final piece in our Lace Showcase channel.
The Stitching Hour
This one has not started yet, but it will start soon: we’ll have a regular appointment with a time slot during which music will be streamed, and everyone can work on their individual projects while chatting with the others like in a craft club meeting. It’s a chance for everyone to have a scheduled time to dedicate to their projects (not necessarily lace - it can be any other craft you may be into!) and to share their progress in real time with other people.
There’s more to come…
There are a few more events that are still in the brainstorming phase, but I’m happy to share these ideas so you know what may come up in the future: we are talking about having our collective design projects, watch alongs, and a snowflake fest for next autumn/winter!

The Meg is unwilling to let me continue this scarf
For those of you who have yet to hear about my quest to scarf-test the Boyfriend Sweater Curse™, meet The Meg! She's been keeping me company as I face fate head on and try to knit a scarf for the guy I've been seeing. The guy and I aren't technically in a relationship right now. Maybe soon, hopefully. If The Meg ever moves so I can finish, block, and ship it.
Y'all it has just occurred to me that I have been knitting/crocheting basically every single day since the end of May and I am so burnt out. I'm at the blocking part of this cardigan I'm making for a friend and I am so exhausted that I don't ever want to do it. IDK if anyone has any tips for this besides taking a break, but if you do I would appreciate it.
