Kit Bellen’s Powers
Spider-Powers:
Kit has the same powers as all the other Spider People. Can stick to things, healing factor, enhanced agility, Spider-Sense, etc. She was bitten by a radioactive spider just like the rest of them, so she has the same abilities as them. Except for the fact that she was given a little something more, that the others might not have.
Venom/Hairs:
If touched in a defensive manner that could possibly cause harm to Kit, her spidey-senses will recognize this and the hairs on her body will severely pierce the skin of the enemy, and inject low doses of venom into them like some spiders can do. This venom is slow acting, allowing them enough time to seek medical help. But the venom takes an immediate hold on their body. It slows them down, messes with their senses, and causes them to become very weak. It may take awhile for the venom to kill them, but the affects of it are quick and can be just as deadly. The hairs on her body cut deep when piercing the skin. It can cause serious blood loss for the victim/enemy and will leave a deep scar.
Hallucinations:
Kit has the ability to cause low scale hallucinations like the Black Widow spider, by locking her gaze with them. This power is a bit more tricky to use, and is really only useful for an escape distraction. The hallucinations aren’t huge, and most of the time will just mildly confuse/disorientate Kit’s enemy. They are still strong enough to make the victim believe they are real, but don’t cause any real damage to them, besides a bit of a mental breakdown.

Kit’s Personality:
A spunky attitude will get you a lot of places, and Kit knows this firsthand. Confident and a little cocky, Kit could care less about what people think of her, and would rather spend the time flaunting her achievements and "greatness" to the world. She hasn't got time for other's feelings, and could do without the sappy, emotional drama. You'll frequently catch her having a bad attitude towards almost anything, but sometimes her curiosity gets the better of her, and she can't help but investigate something. Kit's hot-headed demeanor is one of her greatest downfalls, along with her ability to be a bossy, close minded young adult. But she makes up for these negatives by being one of the most trustworthy people you'll ever meet, constantly be organized/on top of things, carefully thinking things through before jumping in, and her ability to do things on her own. Her strong personality makes her who she is, and makes her a great hero.
Kit’s Hobbies/Talents:
On any day Kit isn't swinging around saving the city, or just messing around as Spider-Haze, she has an abundance of other activities she could be doing. Yoga is a huge part of Kit's life, as every morning she tries to squeeze in some yoga. It helps her find peace in an uneventful day, and is a destresser she looks forward to when she's done being Spider-Haze for the day. Adding to Kit's active personality, she loves intense bike rides, and will always go on one when given the chance. It not very often though, as Kit lives in the heart of Queens, New York, where bikes might not be too good of an idea to ride crazily through the city. At a very young age Kit was learning gymnastics, and is extremely flexible. She puts this talent to use on the daily as Spider-Haze and thanks her mom for making her take it. Kit is fairly good at hand-to-hand combat, and has a very good grasp on her powers. Along with that Kit has a knack for keeping things in order, wherever she is, and whatever she's doing, nothing seems to ever go wrong. She knows how to handle things like a pro, and can solve a problem within the second it happens.
Kit’s Ambitions/Dreams:
Ever since she became Spider-Haze, all Kit has wanted, was for Queens, New York to see why she was one of the best heroes out there. She wanted them to adore her, but could get by if they didn't. She knew she was great, so why bother with others? Still, she wanted her achievements broadcast to all of New York, depicting the heroics of Spider-Haze and how she had saved the city. She just wanted to be a hero in her city's eye. Beside her second life, Kit wanted to make it big. Possibly own a company, or something of that sorts. Whatever it was, she knew she could get there. She had the ambition to do it, and she wouldn't settle for anything less than she deserved. And she deserved something big. Becoming a crime fighting superhero was one step closer to making it big, but the whole masked identity part was getting in her way. Kit wants to find a way to take the success of Spider-Haze and somehow manage to benefit off of it as Kit Bellen. Her intentions may seem a little twisted, but all she really wants is a well lived life.
Kit Bellen’s Struggles
These posts will talk a bit about some of the things my OC’s struggle with in life, whether it’s mentally, emotionally, or physically. I guess this is a bit of a trigger warning in case some of these topics might be sensitive for certain people.
One of the things Kit struggles most with is opening up to other people about her feelings. She always keeps her emotions/feelings to herself, as she feels she would look childish and weak if she opened up. She wants to be able to share how she feels, but can’t get past the thought that whoever is listening will dismiss her emotions and convince her they aren’t valid. She doesn’t want to feel vulnerable, so she shuts down when it comes to that kind of stuff. This also makes it hard for her to offer emotional support for close friends and be there for them when things get tough. She doesn’t know how to act in those situations, because she is never able to open up about herself. She’s very guarded, which makes it hard for friends to stick around.

Reason:
Kit decided to go by the name Spider-Haze for two reasons. One, because of the creature that gave her her powers, and the resemblance her powers have to a spider. And two, because of the venom she can inject people with, and the hallucinations she can cause. When either of these two things happen, the people get a hazy look in their eyes, and feel as if they are in a haze. She put the two words together, and BAM! Spider-Haze is born.

Kit Bellen’s Backstory
There are two parts to Kit's backstory. One part full of tragedy, and the other full of hope. The first part starts on a overcast Sunday morning. Kit's Aunt Mallory, and Uncle Bennet were over for brunch when kitchen sink stopped working. Her uncle and dad offered to stop by the hardware store quickly to pick up some supplies to fix it. It was supposed to be a quick trip. The store was no more than five minutes from Kit's house. But that five minute trip turned into a three hour wait and a knock on the door from two policemen. They told Kit, her mom, and her aunt that her dad and her uncle has been hit by a drunk driver and killed on impact. The catch? This drunk driver wasn't very fond of the two men, and apparently had enough of his mind left to go after them. And just like that, her dad and her uncle were gone in an instant.
The second part begins in a newly purchased building for a yoga studio, Kit and her best friend were planning on opening. Kit is around 21 at the time, but due to her mother's money, she was able to use some to purchase this building. The building itself wasn't the nicest. But it wasn't crappy one either. The lighting hadn't been properly installed, but Kit and her friend were eager to test out the space. They rolled some yoga mats out and took use of the building. Due to the unfinished properties of it, loads of bugs hid away in the open ceiling. And one in particular just so happened to land on Kit's shoulder, biting her. Kit had no clue this spider had even bit her, and assumed the swelling was from something else. The side affects of the bite were pretty bad. Kit was stuck in bed for four days with a high fever, and body aches. After all those affects left her body, she discovered her new powers.
