Vasilisia would see that as the ultimate betrayal, like you are abandoning your motherland for that of the enemy in her eyes. She would not want much to do with the grandchild, not that she wanted all that much to do with her own kids either. She'd rather you'd come kill her for the H'afeara throne than be with the enemy.
Will she disown mc? Who's to say.
But mc's dad fully supports them no matter what, as long as mc is safe and happy. So maybe that makes the whole situation a bit better.

Which is impressive because she enploys the absolutionist style of ruling in H'afeara has more intensely than past rulers.
Lief of course would not marry somebody he didn't love. Admitedly she wasn't so harsh and closed off when they had gotten married, but he still deeply cares. He just puts that affection she won't accept towards his children who need it far more.
