The siafu came, like all true horrors, at midnight. They came stealthily as they always do, determined of purpose.  The leaders made their choice and the long columns followed, obedient as automatons, the scouts ahead and to the side, the stalwart marshals vigilant along the side of each column, keeping the foot soldiers in line.  There would have been several columns.  I didn’t see this for…

Enjoyable but disappointing killer-ant science fiction horror/fantasy from the brilliant Saul Bass (more famous for his animations and title sequence designs - particularly Psycho and Vertigo).  

Some very stylish images, but the acting and script mean that the most interesting sections are the macro-lens work involving the insects themselves... which were actually shot by wildlife photographer Ken Middleham.
