(FANCAM) 240524 SHINee World VI Perfect Illumination: SHINee's Back Day I

My girlfriend and I are both 24 year old women and have been dating for five months officially, but we’ve known each other for about a year, for context. We were walking from a movie theater to get some ice cream, and I heard a weird noise coming from a little behind me from the side. I looked back but couldn’t see anything, idk I thought it was a car skidding or something. Then I noticed my girlfriend fiddling around with her keys and putting them back in her pocket. To paint the picture, we are mid casual conversation. I think at this point we were on the topic of Stardew Valley. I looked back again, and saw that she had keyed a car. It was an orange pickup with an American flag displayed and multiple stickers associated with a certain popular conservative social movement. I just stopped and looked at her, and she looked like nothing had happened. I was speechless, and she just smiled and shrugged and kept walking. I walked with her but I was still gagged. When we were standing in line for ice cream, I asked if she keyed the car (I still couldn’t believe what I saw). She kind of just laughed and said “yeah, f\*ck that guy.” She was acting so casual about it so I kind of just mirrored her and laughed it off and didn’t bring it up. But, it’s still kind of bothering me.

Honestly the bumper sticker and any ideological context has nothing to do with why I am concerned. My girlfriend has never showed any sign of being quick to anger, or reckless, or anything like that. But I can’t help but wonder if this is signaling to a larger issue that I have either missed or has yet to come up. This is making me question if I want to get serious with this person, as I don’t want to be afraid she is going to pick a fight every time we go out, but that might just be me ovethinking it.

I don’t know if this context is relevant or helpful, but we are in a pretty liberal area of California. So these lawn signs/bumper stickers/hats are few and far between but they do pop up.

So am I overthinking what she did? Could it just be an isolated thing, or is this something that I’m going to wish I saw as a red flag down the road? Side note: I really do just want to know if I’m overthinking this. I know this might be a naive ask of Reddit, but I don’t want this to get political. I just know the stickers are probably important context.
