Introverted Thinking (Dominant, TI): TI is a path maker, using logic to trace a likely consequence and what would be most likely to happen. Insightful, quick in the sense of what happens, Unohana was the only one who understood that there was something wrong with Aizen's death, thus, quickly deducing what was happening, and what the steps were going to be. She is independent, competitive and remarkably intelligent, taking pleasure in disputing with Mayuri (dominant IT) the creation of antidotes for all her poisons.

Extroverted Sensing (Auxiliary, SE): Unohana is realistic in accepting things as they are, practicing knowing what to do at the moment. She doesn't expect things to be as they were, she just brings the logic (IT) of the most likely to have happened. Unohana denied a part of her SE for much of the show, however, she found out how happy she is to use this function and how much she missed it. When using the function she proves to be an expert, showing how skillful she is in every form of battle for her adaptability.

Introverted Intuition (Tertiary, NI): Unohana, spent much of the show in TI - NI loop in secret. She traced her destiny, how she would do it or when it is another story. In the Karakura arc, she idealized Ichigo and everything he would do the moment they were together.
