Would it be alright to ask for an emergency ask? Where s/o breaks up with her boyfriend after being being betrayed by him and Keith comes in to comfort s/o? I just ended a relationship on a bad note and I'm very emotional about it.
So, here you go, I hope you like it. And listen to me, talking from experience, just let it go. That kind of people do not deserve a second of your thoughts, you’re better without him. You’re perfect, and if he couldn’t see it, then that was the biggest mistake of his life.
Keep fighting babe, lots of love <3
A spine chilling scream echoed on the apartment Keith shared with his best friend, followed by the thunderous sound of a door being violently shut.Scared and recognising the voice of his roommate, the boy jumped out of his bed, where he was watching a show he wasn’t really paying attention to, and run quickly to see what was happening.
As he crossed the entrance hall door, something crashed really close to his head, making Keith whimper and cringe, as he felt some smithereens in his face.
“What the hell?” He shouted, as his eyes opened wide to see the mess on the floor: the vase that they used as decoration on their entrance table was shattered in a million pieces at his feet, and Y/N standing right in front of him, breathing heavily and with her make up running down her face, mixed with her tears, drawing a black trace down her cheeks.
“What happened?”
“Chase happened!!” She shouted, throwing her purse across the hall, aiming for the couch but not actually hitting Keith’s face for less than an inch.
“Okay, stop throwing things at me!!”
“Shut up, Keith!!
The girl walked past him to the living room, crashing on his shoulder and pushing him against the wall.
“Hey, I don’t know what happened, but I am not him, so stop trying to hurt me.”
Y/N turned around and Keith straightened his back against the wall, thinking that the girl would punch him in the throat for talking back to her, but instead of that, she just started crying and run to hide in his arms.
“I am so sorry, K” she said, hugging him tightly. He could feel her warm tears soaking his T-shirt. “You’re right, you have done nothing.”
“It’s okay, c'mon, let’s sit down and tell me what happened.”
As Keith suggested, both of them sat down in the couch, wrapped in their blanket. Y/N accommodated her head on Keith’s neck and the boy started playing with her hair as she explained him the situation.
“Chase cheated on me.”
Keith felt a wave of anger pooling inside his chest, but he took a deep breath and allowed Y/N to continue.
“He had been spending some time with that Hayley girl from his chemistry class. They had to do a project together but… I guess they did more than studying.”
Y/N bursted into tears again, hiding her face between Keith’s collarbones. Her bitter tears run down the boy’s chest.
“Son of a bitch.” Keith muttered.
“It’s okay” she sobbed, “I can’t make him stay with me if he has feelings for another girl…”
“That doesn’t entitle him to cheat!”
“Keith, relax…”
“No, no, I don’t want to. He is a coward, real men don’t do that.”
“I guess I’m just jinxed when it comes to relationships.”
Y/N whipped the tears of her face and covered herself a little better with the blanket. Then, silence fell over both of them, and the girl was able to hear Keith’s heart pumping in his chest, fast, strong, angry.
“Keith.” She softly called him as she placed one hand over his chest, “Don’t get angry, please. There’s no fixing it now.”
“I just want to punch him until he passes out.”
The girl laughed softly but then she remembered the knife collection that her roommate had.
“Let it go, K. As you said, real men don’t do that kind of stuff. Don’t waste your time worrying about such individual.”
Keith growled under his breath. How could somebody do that to her? She was the most precious girl in the world… If he had the chance of making her happy, of being hee boyfriend… He’ll never do anything like that! How could he? Nobody could compare to her.
Keith had been feeling different about his best friend for a while now. At first he didn’t actually wanted to believe his heart. Y/N was a friend. Beautiful, yes, and smart, caring and she had the most beautiful smile in the world; but he couldn’t be falling for her. Right? But his answer came right through the door the first time Chase walked into their apartment. He remembered how his gut twitched with jealousy and how he just wanted to exchange positions with that guy.
Now, he regretted those thoughts.
He didn’t want to be Chase. He wanted to be himself, to offer Y/N the feeling of a real relationship, to make her feel as unique as she was, as loved as she deserved to be.
“Keith?” she called him.
“Yes?”
“You’re so quiet. Are you planning a murder?”
Keith’s soft laugh made Y/N skin bristle for some reason she didn’t come to understand in the moment.
“Maybe.”
“Okay, but clean the knives afterwards. I don’t want blood all over the carpet.”
And both teens laughed, unaware that heartbreaking event would lead to the most loving relationship everybody dreamed with.
