2) My family is falling apart....literally. I have one family member on a ventilator, who we’ve just made the hard decision to not continue her care...

3) I have another close family member who was diagnosed with cancer in his kidneys, and it’s spreading....and it’s the type that DOESN’T go into remission...so he’ll be taking chemo treatments indefinitely.

4) Both of my parents suffer from various chronic illnesses that keep them in pain everyday, but continue to work their asses off....

A financial miscommunication may keep me from achieving my after graduation goal, and I need your help! My college is charging me $2,628 for a mistake that was made on their part and I need your help in trying to cover this cost, right this wrong, and bring awareness to this issue for the sake of others who may be in my situation in the future.   The situation in full: In Spring of 2014, I signed a Resident Advisor (RA) contract for the Spring of 2015 semester. However, I was also accepted to study abroad in South Korea for the Fall of 2014 semester. In short, these two situations had a very significant impact on my financial aid award. As an RA, room and board were paid in full for me, and also changed how much financial aid I was eligible for. Residential life and Student Financial Services (SFS) both knew that I was going abroad in the Fall semester, and subsequently, I thought that my Spring RA status would be forwarded to SFS in time for them to solidify my financial aid package and distribute money across the semesters accordingly. I did go to South Korea, and had life changing experiences. Upon returning however, the issue arose.  I recieved a refund from my loan for a substantial amount on January 2nd, 2015. SFS did not credit my aid package with the RA status until January 6th, 2015. Essentially, they gave me more money than necessary from my loan, because they didn't know that I was going to be an RA at that time. Due to this four day difference, I was over refunded, but no one from SFS called me to tell me such news after this happened. I was not notified in anyway that I was over refunded. I used my refund on books, health insurance, and other academic costs, and now have very little left. Now, SFS is telling me that I must pay the difference, or else I will not recieve my diploma, transcripts, and other documents that I need in order to apply to live and work in South Korea, which is my goal for after graduation. I have already approached Residential Life and SFS with my situation, and noted the lack of communication and disorganization that has led to this, but everyone has said the same thing, "I'm sorry, but you just slipped through the cracks." "Oh, it was a mistake..." Slipping through the cracks and having people make mistakes are understandable, however, when these mistakes end up costing a college senior (who will already be in debt $40K from school) extra money from something that wasn't her fault in the first place, that is something that has to be addressed. I readily and honestly admit that there were faults on both sides of this issue (Lack of communication from the school's side, and over trusting finances in other's hands from my part), and will treat this as a major learning experience, but right now, I am trying my best to overcome it. I have to start applying for work in Korea within the next month, so that my dream of being successful there after graduation can continue as planned. This means that I need to have my documents (transcripts most importantly) available to me within the next month, of which, if this charge is not paid off, I will not be able to recieve them OR my diploma after graduation. This is my plea for help. Even just giving a dollar will make a difference, because that is one less dollar from this charge that I will have to struggle to find. I was never much into Disney as a child (or now!) but if I had to pick one... Jasmine from Aladdin was pretty cool. Or Mulan, if she counts.

Finding Me by Michelle Knight, who was one of the three women in Cleveland who were kidnapped and kept for ten years. I only read her book recently, but it was incredible. Since reading it, I've been trying to seize the day and get the most out of life.

COFFEE. I love Coffee Bean. I could spend all day there.

Something calm like green or gray.

I was probably a horse in a past life. I love horses, and people have always told me that I'm like a horse :P
