Kaz/Wylan- the authors I read really brought their A-game to this ship man

Kaz/Jesper- not a rarepair but excellent chemistry honestly

Kaz/Matthias- they are pretty much available only in a polycrows setting but hot dam

Kaz/Nina- one word: Menace

Kaz/Nikolai- Nikolai is always so understanding and patient and cute and Kaz is just an emotionally constipated mess

Kaz/Darkling- I regret

Okay, on to the non-Kaz ships

Inej/Jesper- there are very very limited fics with the tag, and with good reason

Inej/Nina- the only femslash pair in the whole SOC duology fandom and I will take a bullet for them anyday

Inej/Matthias- I have read only one fic with this (These Violent Delights @whichastheykiss-consume my beloved), but the authors really got me questioning everything about them god

Jesper/Nina- They're fun. And they're horny.

Jesper/Matthias- actually, this doesn't count. I have not read anything with this ship, but I'm gonna go search it up now

Wylan/Matthias- there are actually a lot more than I expected? Didn't even know people thought they had chemistry (Spoiler- Wy almost always tops)

On to poly ships

Polycrows- seriously, go read @whichastheykiss-consume on ao3. You will understand what I'm saying

Kaz/Jesper/Wylan- Read one *1* fic and went down a rabbit hole

I drew Wylan, Jesper and Kaz together based on the photo of Freddy Carter, Kit Young, and Jack Wolfe.

I’ve been slowly trying to incorporate acne like scars for firepox on Kaz’s face. I definitely head cannon that Jesper would have a bajillion piercings in modern day.

My low key (or rather high key) inspiration for this idea was from @whichastheykiss-consume. In my mind, this is a photo they are taking together after breaking Jesper out of Hellgate. I’m also going to tag the writers in here again because they deserve applause!! @lchendriks @artemisthefirst

Overall, I’m somewhat happy with how this one turned out. (Although not so happy with how Wylan came out but it’s never going to be perfect.)

I’m only somewhat curious to how many of my drawings in this sketchbook are going to be fan fiction inspired. Also, I already had to buy more 005 micron pens because I keep flattening the tips with how much unintentional pressure with how I tend to grip my pens/pencils and write/draw. (Would be nice if I could afford regular PT and OT sessions or something to work on some of these hypermobility-caused issues .🤷‍♀️)

secondly, i like Kawesper i’ve read some pretty good fics with them but most have been smut and don’t rlly dive into their relationship dynamics outside of that. potentially a good ship but not for the reasons u think. i actually really enjoy kaz x wylan more than i enjoy wylan x jesper. i just never found wesper by themselves to be very interesting. i don’t see myself writing a kawesper fic anytime soon UNLESS someone gives me a very specific prompt for it ;).

New fic in which Kaz, Jesper and Wylan have a sleepover after getting snowed in 👀

cue to kaz walking in on jesper and inej talking while jesper says "i love him, 'nej", finally realising that he has lost jesper to someone else (and only now understanding that what he was feeling was jealousy). and kaz distances himself from jesper and wylan and jesper is sad and wylan is sad cause jesper is sad and in the end it's wylan, of all people, that confronts kaz about his feelings (what feelings? kaz doesn't do feelings).

wylan just tells kaz that he knows, and kaz panics because how the fuck did wylan even find out about kaz's feelings for jesper when kaz himself didn't know, but wylan is talking about the fact that he knows about jesper's feelings for kaz and that he trusts him and that it's okay because, honestly, he kind of has a crush on kaz too and, what

what does he mean "too" ? jesper has a crush on him? wylan has a crush on him????? oh. well. that's...

and kaz goes all kaz about it for a while until he finds jesper and wylan fighting about wylan letting it slip to kaz that jesper loves likes him, when jesper had been hiding it for years and, what the fuck, "years"? so kaz makes some kind of surprised sound and jesper hears and they lock eyes and stare at each other for what feels like a fucking century until wylan is like "oh for fuck's sake just make out at this point"

and they don't, because it's kaz, but they do talk and all agree that jesper should just date both of them.
