thinking about kaz doing exposure therapy for his touch aversion. I think he'd mostly take it easy, one thing at a time. but that takes too long, so kaz says fuck it. he pulls wylan into his room at the slat and tells him to hold his wrist and not let up no matter what to see how long he can go.
kaz makes it past the initial wave of discomfort, but after a while he's gritting his teeth. his breath catches and wylan loosens his grip, asking if he's alright. kaz nods stutters out "keep going", closing his eyes and exhaling hard. his free hand clenches and he starts to feel tightness in his throat.
true to his words, wylan doesn't let up until it seems like kaz is going to vomit from the pressure. he backs off completely, giving kaz space to double over and hyperventilate, eventually ending up on his knees. silent sobs wrack through him as he recovers. wylan doesn't interfere until kaz is almost completely still.
keeping his distance, he asks "what do you need?"
"water." kaz chokes out, still not looking up
quickly, wylan retrieves a glass of water and kaz's gloves, even though kaz didn't ask for them...
