Hello! Thank you for the ask (no seriously, I've been wanting to talk abt this for years lol)

My love for Kylan stems from a very personal level. What initially drew me to their dynamic was mostly how Kaz treated Wylan in regards to his trauma. Despite being a cold, self-centered asshole, he saw what was done to Wylan as wrong and he used the power he had as Wylan's superior to support him and help him rebuild his life. I won't get into the nitty gritty details of my trauma but it's something that reached me on a very personal level as it was exactly the kind of support I would've needed when I was at my lowest.

My perception of their dynamic has been shifting over the years but ultimately what keeps me drawn to them is how much I am able to relate to both of them, both in regards to their personality and trauma. And so Kylan to me is both a manifestation of the perfect relationship as well as a form of self-love and accepting myself.

At this point the ideal dynamic of them that exists in my head is so far removed from canon that it feels kind of weird to talk about it, but there are still parts which stem from their canon dynamic that I could mention. :>

Obvs I love how similar they are at their core despite their many differences. I think it gives them both the potential to heal through love as well as tear each other down into the worst possible versions of themselves which is SO TASTY. I also like the hc that Wylan is the only person Kaz can talk to for hours because of similar they are in their way of thinking. Them having a secret relationship due to their high rankings on the opposite ends of Ketterdam's social biome is another thing I love which has become one of the defining pillars of Kylan to me. I could go on but this post is already long enough :p

I thought this might be a good opportunity to not just get back into drawing consistently, but also bring about some changes in regards to my art and posting. So here's what to expect:

- More regular posts of not just finished, polished pieces but doodles and wips as well.

- More multi-fandom stuff.

- I'll be reopening commissions in June!

- Blog name change in a few days (I just wanted to make this post first so people know what to expect :p )
