Pete chuckled. "Been a while since Blacky said that. Right, Jupe?"

Jupiter didn't answer. Pete pouted.

"Surprise," Blacky cawed. "Mmwaaahh!"

A spark appeared in Pete's mind. "If you keep ignoring me," he muttered, "I'll kiss you."

"Mmm," Jupiter replied, clearly not listening.

Then Pete gave him a quick smooch.

"What—Pete?!"

Jupiter stood up suddenly and fell over, dragging Pete with him.

Blacky let out a high-pitched laugh.

"Quiet, Blacky!" Pete exclaimed. "This was your bright idea!"

There was a time when Jupiter genuinely enjoyed being an actor.

But that dream was tainted by people who couldn't differentiate between fantasy and reality—Baby Fatso and Jupiter Jones.

Jupiter was lost in thought. The invitation from a former Wee Rogue had him spiralling. Pete said something, and he mumbled in response.

Then—

He felt Pete's lips on his.

Shocked, he stood up and fell, dragging Pete.

He remembered—they were waiting for Bob so they could discuss this together.

Jupiter couldn't suppress a smile as Pete bickered with Blacky.

He'd found a new dream with people he loved.

As someone who only has access to the original American novels, I'm looking forward to all of your opinions about the movie! Some of you said Toteninsel is your favourite. I know nothing about the storyline, huhu. 😢

(I only know that the CIA is somehow involved? What! And that the movie is also adapted to the modern era which is very different from the original--you might have noticed that I really love the original 1960s setting and base my DDF fanfic timeline on this. From small-town boys in the 1960s to international crime-solvers in the 21st century! Wow!)

Then again, even in Robert Arthur's books, the boys did have international clients (and in Silver Spider they even went to Varania). So I guesssss anything is truly possible for these three. 😆
