10. Favorite Food?

Right now it’s vegan potato salad holy eff it’s so good.

11. Biggest pet peeve?

The sound of someone chewing a banana, particularly with an open mouth, but just all around stay away from me when eating bananas.

12. What did you want to be when you were little? What do you want to be now?

What I wanted to be: a teacher or an astronaut. What I am: a drafter of clothing at a studio in downtown Vancouver, with the option to teach what I do part time, probably within the next year or two.

13. What are your biggest fears? Do you have any strange fears?

Spiders, man. They are gross af. Also zombies. I have really vivid dreams, and when I have them about zombies I legit wake myself up crying, so. The Fear is real.

14. When you are on your deathbed what would be the one you’d regret not doing?

I would regret not pushing myself to do more things outside my box more often. I’m working on it!

Okay… lets talk about your writing!

15. Which is your favorite of the fics you've written for the Bughead fandom?

I love them all for different reason, but the one I’m most proud of stylistically is probably In The First Degree.

16. Which was the hardest to write, in terms of plot?

There’s a particularly intense chapter in Coop de Grâce that took some emotional energy.

17. How do you come up with the ideas for you fic(s)? Do you people watch? Listen to music? Get inspired by TV/movies?

I LOVE tropes. Like, fucking love them. So a lot of my fics start with a trope or two, and then grow from there, however feels right. I do listen to music but it’s never straight up turning a song’s ‘plot’ into a story. It’s more for mood.

18. Idea that you always wanted to write but could never make work?

Ehhhh, tough question. I don’t think there’s anything that I’ve been truly inspired to write that I didn’t end up writing. Life’s too short to be telling yourself you can’t do things.

19. Least favorite plot point/chapter/moment you’ve written?

That would probably be a scene I wrote for a Harry Potter fic, in which someone is caught cheating on someone else, and I just really didn’t like writing it. It was essential to the story but I hated doing that.

20. Favorite plot point/chapter/moment you’ve written?

The last chapter of Coop de Grâce. Those sweet babies made me giddy.

21. Favorite line or lines of dialogue that you've written?

I’ve written a lot of words in the last ten plus years so I can’t remember all my favs, but recently, it would be this line: “There was just something about Betty. She was so good and happy, and she nearly shone with the brightness of it, as if burnished from the inside out.” or – not yet published – “There was something around her eyes, something different, something related to the molasses-slow smile spreading over her lips, and it tugged a peculiar feeling to the forefront of his mind.”

22. Favorite character to write?

In HP: probably George. In Riverdale: probably Jughead.

23. Best comment/review you’ve ever received?

So many. Cannot possibly specify. You guys have been so damn kind since I showed up.

24. How do you handle bad reviews or comments?

Firstly, by deciding if the comment was meant to be hurtful, or helpful. If hurtful, disregard. If helpful, consider from the most unbiased point of view I can get to.

25. If you could change anything in any of your stories, what would it be?

Not so much change, but I wish I had taken the time to plan Coop de Grâce a little more. It sort of just came to me and I started writing, not knowing where it was going to end up, really. And I wish now that I had included more stuff. That’s all.

26. What is your favorite story you’ve ever written? Any fandom?

Probably Retribution, for HP.

27. What are you reading right now? Both fan fiction and general fiction?

For fanfiction, it’s always changing. I just made a list of fics and authors I need to check out, and I’m working my way through an inbox full of updates. It’s a disaster right now. As for original fiction, I just started reading The Cirlce. Not sure how I feel about it yet.

28. Do you have an advice for writers that want to get into this fandom but might be scared?
