Juniperpaw and Cedarstar are FernClan littermates whose lives were once nearly impossible to separate.
As apprentices, the two were constantly together. Juniperpaw was energetic, reckless, talkative, and endlessly curious, while Cedarstar tended to be quieter and more grounded. Where Juniperpaw rushed ahead, Cedarstar followed behind to keep him from getting hurt.
FernClan often described them as moving like they shared one shadow.
During an encounter with a rogue near the border, Juniperpaw was injured and later developed greencough. Though he survived long enough to watch his brother receive his warrior name, he died soon after.
Cedarstar never truly recovered from the loss.
Though FernClan sees Cedarstar as a disciplined and capable leader, grief has left him deeply protective and quietly bitter, especially toward rogues and outsiders. Meanwhile, Juniperpaw, now walking among StarClan, remembers things very differently.
To Juniperpaw, the tragedy was never about hatred.
It was simply bad luck, pain, and a life cut short too early.
Their story became one of FernClan’s quiet tragedies: two brothers who loved each other deeply, but who now see the world in completely different ways.
