This is ment to be a little announcement+a reminder for some people. I've seen folks be confused about Josie/Hazelpaw's gender so just to be clear JOSIE/HAZELPAW IS INTERSEX+UNLABLED, THEY USE THEY/THEM PRONOUNS.

This might be a bit of a suprise to some of you, since them being intersex is a very recent development that wasn't originally included in their bio. However, I thought it was a good moment to announce it! I should also probably mention that they are not non-binary, they don't associate with any specific gender lables.

Twin number one. I don’t remember ANYTHING abt her.I Know shes shipped with Hollyleaf sometimes and she’s Berrynose’s brother, but that’s it. Like the design I made of her tho

Design Notes:

- Her tail looks like hazel. Specifically, it looks like hazel catkins. Picture down below

- Build wise shes her own thing, but he has her mom’s face and her dad’s colours (both eyes and pelt).

- Decided to make it so that she had both her parents pink colours depending on the color of her pelt. Idk how to describe it, so just look at her paw and ear colors.

Headcannons:

• In the wiki, Jayfeather claims that Hazel and her litter mates sound a lot like their mother, who’s from the horseplace. So i like to imagine that Hazel and her litter mates have southern/texan accents, that they may or may not have been teased for.

• I like to imagine that Hazeltail was the cheerful, confident twin while Mousewhisker is the more quiet reclusive one. I imagine that she had a tendency to be short-tempered , but she had control over it and it wasn’t as bad as Berrynose

• this was canon (source:the wc wiki), but she demonstrated incredible fighting and jumping skills, and I like to imagine that she was even up there with Lionblaze (without his powers ofc) and Berrynose, who I imagine was fairly good at everything.

• Hazeltail wanted to be important to the clan. Not necessarily to become deputy or to be popular, but she wanted cats to recognize her name or to call on her when they need help. For in order to accomplish that, she would cover patrols and tasks for others, sign up for dangerous patrols, that sorta thing

• That last hc is the main reason why she and Foxleap got along so well. Because they were both signing up for the same patrols, they had more opportunities to talk to eachother and they discovered that they were alike in a lotta ways. Idk man, they kinda just clicked yk? She was also friends with her half-siblings, Hollyleaf, and Honeyfern (when she was alive).

• I think it would be very funny if she was the less intense version of Rosetail sometimes; knowing all the insider info within the clan but only using it for minor things, and giving out unprompted relationship advice (even though she was single)

• There was a passage in to books where Hazel went to visit her father’s barn, and she showed Smokh her fighting moves and it was just so cute man. So I like to imagine that she (and Mouse, because Berry didn’t rly care) Would visit Smoky at his barn sometimes. When Hazel died, Mouse still came by ever once in a while, if only to talk with his dad sometimes.
