• Mapleshade was the one who put it in Reedfeather’s head to kidnap his kits and take them to Windclan, because I find it kinda interesting that she saw Willow and Grey being Halfclan and succeeding, but not doing anything about it. I know they have nothing to do with Appledusk, but it feels like something she would do yk?

On a semi related note, I appreciate the small bit of character development they gave Reed by making him want his kits. Obv didn’t go abt it in the right way, but the only other father who fought for their Halfclan kits vocally was Greystripe. And it also contrasts with Appledusk’s negligence, and it’s another reason while Maple might’ve been envious of Willow and Grey.

• Haven’t read Crookeds super edition in a bit, but I like to think she admired him quite a bit for standing up to all that prejudice and bullying. She was probably sniped at for being halfclan, and not everyone was on broad to bring back her and her sister. So I like to imagine that she used Crooked as her inspiration to be more then what her clanmates think of her (and her heritage), and showered Crooked in compliments and praise due to this, causing the two to eventually fall in love with each other.
