When you're always getting rejected by your crushes, your best friend decides to do the best thing he could think of; confessing his true feelings so you know that there's someone in the world who cares about you more than a friend.

"Jun, he said no," you sigh, plopping yourself next to your best friend as you try not to recall your memory from not too long ago.

"What? I thought he really liked you," the 'he' in question was none other than your crush, Minho. Well, now probably ex-crush.

"He said he has a girlfriend. I feel so dumb. Of course a guy like him would have a girlfriend. What was I even thinking?" you hit yourself on the forehead.

"It's okay, Y/n. One day, you're going to get a guy who treats you like a queen," Jun says, hoping that his words will make you feel better.

"It's so frustrating, Junnie. How long do I have to wait to finally meet my prince charming? Honestly, I think the concept of love hates me"

Jun stays silent. If only you looked up from your fingers right now, you can finally realize that your prince charming had always been by your side. To be honest, the concept of love must have hated Jun more than you.

How else was he possibly be in love with you for so long?

He will never admit his feelings for the sake of your 7 years friendship. He was good at covering them up, hoping that they would disappear just like that one day. Clearly not.

Everyday, he seemed to be falling for you more. It hurt him to see you blushing about someone else but what was he supposed to do? Your smile was something he didn't want to disappear from the face of the earth. So, he would let someone else make you happy instead of him ruining everything.

You keep on rambling about how you were going to die single at age of 60 because no one treats you like 'the one', while Jun keeps quiet and admires your face.

To him, you had always been the only one.

His thoughts were interrupted by the door slamming open, showing a panting Soonyoung.

"W-what are we- we doing? Who ar- are we murdering?" Soonyoung puts a hand on his chest to control his breathing, before taking a seat next to Jun.

"Woah, take it easy, bro. You look like you just ran a marathon,"Jun says, putting an arm around his other best friend to calm the latter down.

"I ran as fast as possible when I saw your text. What's wrong?"

"Minho, rejected her because he has a girlfriend," Jun explains, trying not to frown too much at Minho's face. He was human too. He can feel a bit of jealousy, right?

"Yeah. I feel so upset. I mean my crush on him lasted for more than 2 years. If I had known that he had a girlfriend, I would have stopped liking him," you say, sighing.

"That's awful. I thought he liked you too"

"That's what I told her. I guess our instincts were wrong"

"It's okay, guys. Let's forget about him. After all, what can we do? How about we eat some doughnuts?" you suggest.

"Sounds good," both boys say in unison.

"When you said you wanted to eat doughnuts, I didn't know it meant raiding your roommate's stash," Soonyoung says, looking a bit afraid but still taking another doughnut from the pink box.

"She wouldn't mind. It's a 'Y/n comfort box' according to her so it's meant for me," you reply.

"How nice of her. Learn from her, Jun," Soonyoung hits Jun on the shoulder, making the latter roll his eyes.

"Anyways, Y/n, are you sure that Minho rejected you because he has a girlfriend and not you specifically?"

The question from Soonyoung gets himself a dirty eye from Jun and a upset look from you.

"What do you mean? Y/n's perfect. She's pretty, smart and kind. Minho's dumb if that's the actual reason," surprisingly that came from Jun.

"It's okay, Jun. I'm sure Soonyoung didn't mean it that way?" it seemed to make Jun calmer.

"Awwwww. You guys just reminded me once more why soulmates aren't just lovers. And- OH MY HOLY GOD, I'M LATE FOR PRACTICE. Chan's going to become the leader at this rate," Soonyoung panics around and it makes you wonder if you should give him any more doughnuts in the future. Sugar makes people hyper. In front of you, was the living proof.

"I'm sorry, you guys but I have to go now. See you some time later. Bye," Soonyoung leaves in a rush before giving you and Jun time to reply.

"He came and left like a breeze. I feel better when he's around," Jun says and you nod in agreement.

"Yeah"

You and Jun were left alone in silence.

"Y/n?"

"Yes?"

"What do you think of me?"

That question got you frozen. It was the first time he was asking something like this.

"Well, you're the kindest person on earth. You have very pretty eyes and a nice smile. It's always nice to talk to you and I always look forward to meet you," you reply.

Jun looks surprised at your answer as if he wasn't expecting it.

"Why are you asking?"

"So, is it possible if you see me from a different perspective?" Jun's ears were red as he tried to look at something else that's not you.

You could hear your heartbeat ring in your ears.

"Different how?"

Jun stares at you, and he looks like he's trying to think of a way to say something without making it sound weird.

"Like not as a friend"

"That means-"

"Or a best friend"

You shut your mouth in an instant. Your cheeks turn red and you didn't know what to say.

"Just so you know, I like you. I have liked you for a long time. I just thought you should know this because I don't want to keep it hidden any longer," Jun says, his voice barely a whisper. The whole thing would have been romantic but it was Jun who was confessing. You've never dreamt of something like that in your entire life.

Your thoughts must have been seeping through your expressions because Jun immediately clears his throat.

"It's fine if you want to take your time. I know it's out of nowhere but I want you to know that my feelings are genuine"

"Since when?" that was the only thing that managed to make it's way out of your mouth.

Jun smiles, "Sweet Sixteen" and it makes your eyes widen in surprise.

"I know. It's been 6 years but I really like you. It's hard to move on when you genuinely like someone"

"I'll be leaving now but before that," he leans in and his lips make contact with your cheek. Millions of butterflies swarm in your stomach and you're heartbeat was so loud that you were sure Jun could hear it.

He pulls away and whispers in your ear, "I love you, Y/n. Always have. Always will"

"You undomestic wicked cat! HOW DARE YOU?!"

"It was an accident! Sorry!"

"So you were accidentally trying to kill me? Maybe I should throw another soap on the floor so you would fall!"

The ear-piercing scream of yours echoed throughout the hallway with you practically exploding with rage. It was intensely piercing that you even had a voice malfunction for a moment. Nevertheless, your outrage hasn't soothed.

Jun was sprinting, trying to escape, breath ragged. As you both were almost near the stairs, you captured Jun by his shoulder but it wasn't firm enough. Which eventually made you lose the grip and propel him with much force. Jun rumbled down the stairs while groaning in pain.

At that moment, you were frozen with utter silence. Unable to process anything at the sight of your boyfriend. After getting back to earth from caratland, you scurried towards Jun who was laying on the floor. In trepidation, you positioned his head on your lap, tapping his delicate rosy cheeks. A tear rolled down your cheek after getting no response. Is it the end? Did you just kill your own boyfriend? Guilty feeling flooded in you, not being able to accept it.

Swiftly, someone's hand surrounded your neck, connecting his warm lips to yours. It was non-other than Jun. Hence, this whole time he was actually feigning? No wonder he's an actor. He deserves the Oscar. Like man what the heck? Jun moved away his lips from yours, giving you a cheeky smile. You felt overwhelmed, your heart skipped a beat and your soul almost left your body. A sigh of solace left your mouth, noticing your boyfriend is more than okay. You smacked Jun's chest out of irritation. You so wanna wipe off his smug look by whacking him. Yet you didn't wanna end up in jail.

The feeling of electricity went throughout your body when Jun once again pulled you in for a tender kiss and broke it again. The heck?

Eyebrows scrunched together with the tensed jaw, you gave Jun a peeved look. Foremost, he basically killed you. Secondly, you had to run a marathon just to catch him. Thirdly, he literally pretended to be dead. Fourthly, he made you shed tears for no reason. Fourthly, he doesn't give you a proper kiss. (I swear my anger issues could never)

Meanwhile, for Jun, the only way to make it up to you is by kissing you over and over not knowing it annoys you a lot. Which he actually did until you forgave him. I guess someone's sleeping on the couch for another two days...

10/10! Two thumbs up! Bravo! Bravo!

No other words can describe this very brilliant Korean series. Just amazing. I loved how the story unfolds. The plot twist was so unexpected. I loved how the characters was also named after some of the actors in real life.

So Ji Sub never fails to show his excellence in action scenes. *Clap! Clap! Clap!* I also loved his comic side where he used to be a sitter of two very playful kids.

The most handsome and macho babysitter of King Castle Apartment

This series focused on them finding the mole of National Intelligence Service (NIS) and how it ruined there lives.. that’s why there’s no kissing scene, but this.. nose-to-nose 😍💕🥰 I loved how Kim Bon (So Ji Sub) took care of Go Ae Rin (Jung In-Su) and loved her kids like his own. I also admired him on how he protected his “brother” Jin Young Tae (Son Ho Jun) and how he is so concerned on Yoo Ji Hyeon (Im Se-mi).
