So ji sub, Choi dae hoon and Yoon kyungho are back are a dynamic trio of ahjushhis and I've never been happier seeing them kick ass. With a fairly simple premise, this story kicks off into a political thriller which imo derailed the plot a bit.
The main villains weren't really compelling and their screen presence fell off in the later episodes which lowkey gave poor writing. As was pointed out by many Ju Gang Chan as a character started off white strong but became a caricature of himself.
The plot armour of the mains was staggering because it never truly felt like the leads were in any danger and that is a weakness. Without ever truly having your leads question their choices and situations, you cannot make a compelling case for their victories.
The north south conflict again imo just served to complicate the plot without actually showing anything new or different and I'm tired of seeing the same thing play out in different fonts smh
While the action sequences are top notch, I believe the story could have been wrapped up in 8 eps instead of 10. One thing that really pissed me off were the genAI sequences. I am and continue to be, icked by them because wdym you couldn't spend a little extra/ plan better scenes for a big budget production and instead used cheap fake nonsense instead?
The found family trope hit hard in this one and I, for one, LOVE that. The colouring, soundtrack and the flashback scenes were great and really fleshed out the mains. Overall, this was a pretty good watch.
