“I—?” A beat of what Julia assumes to be surprise, then Ivy clears her throat and says: “Yeah. Yeah, I’d like that. I’ll call you.”
“Good,” Julia grins in spite of herself, releasing a breath she hadn’t known she was holding until that moment. “I’ll talk to you later, then.”
And— Ivy does call her later, and it’s nice. It’s nice to talk to someone who actually knows all of what’s going on in her life and have it be relaxed and friendly instead of strictly for business.

The first time Juila sees Ivy's kitty behavior get the best of her is when the two are in the breakroom together, chatting. Ivy's pupils dilate, but Juila is so sure in the moment that they're making eye contact. What is Ivy looking at? Why is she staring like that? It makes Juila flustered. She doesn't realize in reality, Ivy is staring at the squirrel right outside the breakroom window.
(A funny thought I had for these 2, disappointment and embarrassment overwhelms Juila when she finally turns her head to see that taunting squirrel. It's taunting them both, in different ways lol)

I rlly like to think jules would like the catty parts of ivy a lot for some reason??? like ivy just having cat-like behavior, like twitching ears or dilating eyes with interest or her meowing and bird watching,,, juila would prolly think it's cute ?? idk nothing better than having a catgf if she doesn't pull cat shenanigans lol
yes yes YES !! Julia is inquisitive, studious, and just as curious as a cat - so it's no brainer that she'd be charmed by Ivy's kitty traits (also I mean who wouldn't be amirite). She'll make a quiet comment about how facinating X is or how amusing Y is about Ivy, and Ivy shoots her a look like "🤨 what" because she's never thought twice about it. But it's all new to Jules, and she'll sometimes take advantage of Ivy's kitty weaknesses if it means seeing her act so cute and cuddly and maybe just a teensy bit OOC ahehee
Things become...interesting when Jules wants to do her usual hobby of birdwatching or bring home some colorful finches (HC of mine), and Ivy acts just a liiiittle too funny for her comfort LOL it's not like Ivy'd hunt the things per se, but she gets that look in her eyes...and Jules knows she has to bap her catgf back to reality somehow jwfkmdnqfn
(julivy acme) hc: since u said that ivy usually lays her head in Jules lap, I can imagine her sometimes dozing off too!! Jules won’t have the heart to wake her up, so she’ll spend a few minutes in the break room panicking bc she dosent know what to do!! their coworkers r wondering where the hell they are‼️‼️
bonus: chase goes to check to see where the two ran off to, and finds them in the break room, Jules an absolute puddle of panic bc she didn’t want to wake up Ivy 😔
