honestly Dick/Roy/Jason is an underrated flavor.
ignore the part of your brain that is screaming that Jayroy came from a not great depiction of Roy and follow me for a bit.
1. it is objectively funny if Roy has not one Bat boyfriend that drives him crazy but TWO Bat boyfriends that drive him crazy.
he already has had to call Dick out for his bullshit for literal years and now he has to unpack Jason's issues too? multiply this by even more if Jason is deep into his shit.
2. Bruce gets to be Extra disappointed because two of his children chose Ollie's boy to get together with.
remember that Bruce didn't like that Dick was with Kori. Kori who has done literally nothing wrong in her life. now just think of him having to deal with Dick getting with Roy and then however long later having to deal with Jason making the exact same choice. (Roy is genuinely a very good guy, but Bruce will be Bruce.)
3. Roy gets to be one that knows all of Dick's insane shit because Jay sure isn't gonna know at first.
Roy has known Dick since they were teens. Jason has only known the versions of Dick that Dick has created for the Batfamily. (though he will learn.)
4. Dick continues his trend of liking gingers.
I am well aware that Jason having ever been ginger is retconned to hell, but god I love it. it's so funny.
5. Jason gets to indulge his mommy and daddy kinks.
I've talked before about Dick unlocking a mommy kink in Jason, but also Roy has literal daddy energy. also Dick and Roy have canonically been called mom and dad so- kfjsdlkfjsdk (honestly though this fact makes me feral.)
