Roach is Zekeās little bro and the Atom Catās personal fry cook. He along with his brother left Diamond City after the ghoul-ban to find the essence ofĀ ācoolā in the Commonwealth. Even though heās an original member of the gang he has not earned his Patch. This is due to mucking up the easiest of challenges and causing more damages to the group than benefit. (Even Polly has earned her Patch, that should tell you how bad he is.) Though heās a hot mess, heās family. The Cats enjoy having him around, he kinda makes them look cooler. Plus he has a talent for preparing edible substances made from pre-war finds and what produce they are given from the Warwick clan. Roach is affectionate and loyal, heās not the brightest nuka-quantum but he makes up for it with perseverance. His prized possessions are his mint-Mr. Jangles doll and collection of Manta-Man comics that he canāt read.

i made a post on the atom cats's johnny d the other day with my findings! it's in my deacon tag. HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO MAKE OF IT, HONESTLY.

Man, I really donāt know what to make of this. On one handĀ āJohnā is a pretty common name in the US, but he does look older (but the Wasteland can make everyone look older).
I really donāt have any better of an idea than you do. The fact heās namedĀ āJohnny D.ā and not just a general NPC name, and we specifically see that name referenced in PAMās logs, I sort of donāt think itās a coincidence.
We could be looking at the John D./Johnny D. from the logs while Deaconās history is even further away from us than we originally thought.
