Swatches for the Aggregate shawl by Jiminez Joseph. First photo: Top two are with 5mm needles, bottom two 4mm needles. Test 1: Washed in cold water and no-rinse wool wash, colors do not bleed! My stripes will be clear. Test 2: The larger needles will make a shawl 4” too wide, and the smaller will be 4” too narrow, as it turns out. Ha ha! So I will go ahead and use the 4.5mm needles to start.
