the thing about Jack and Trevor is they’re like. forever linked and bonded by being the twin sacrificial lambs in an institution that wants to eat them alive and swallow them whole. but Jack has always kinda bought more into the machine of it all, been better at playing his role as a cog and as grist for the mill, and that means that Trevor’s always kinda reaching after Jack and also slightly out of step with him in his suffering. like Jack is part of how Trevor learns to repress that shit and give in and be the one carving himself up for parts, yknow? what if we were teenage boys together and what if we suffered schrodinger’s child abuse together and what if you were the one who helped me learn not to talk about it. idk!!!!
