#jeronica headcanons

ok i’ve let this message sit in my inbox for a while because i’m so bad at making headcanons but here are a few.

- veronica would totally buy jughead any food (most likely hamburgers and fries possibly cupcakes) if they were to get in a fight. - their favorite date nights would be staying in and watching murder mysteries, thrillers, or any suspenseful and endearing movies/shows and then after they’d stay up all night analyzing characters and plotlines  🖤 - they both get chocolate milkshakes at pop’s. (yes i know this one is canon but i still love it so much) - they’re definitely that couple people watches (shamelessly) - veronica loves ruffling through jughead’s hair while they’re making out. - veronica will steal jughead’s sweatshirts whenever she can and he lets her. :) - jughead teases veronica about her height often because he finds it adorable how she gets all defensive - countless inside jokes (mostly regarding what they watch, and read) - they love studying together at the library - jughead has veronica’s coffee order memorized

I think veronica watches a lot of murder mystery/action/suspense shows because she needs something to distract her, and these shows usually help

although once in a while she’ll watch corny chick flicks and reality tv.

jughead is well, jughead. and being dollar store Phillip Marlowe, he also watches murder mysteries, crime shows, and documentaries.

when the two got together, movie nights became kind of a ritual

every Friday after school, they’d meet up at one of their houses, grab some blankets, some snacks, and pajamas.

(btw they have pajamas at each other's houses in case of spontaneous sleepovers)

anyway, some shows I feel like they’d watch are Criminal Minds, Breaking Bad, How to Get Away with Murder, etc. (bear with me I didn’t watch these shows)

they would watch hours of episodes (which is not healthy at all)

as interesting as these shows are, jughead can never soak in anything. he’s always concentrated on the food in front of him and how pretty veronica looks all concentrated and the way she leans on his shoulder and plays with his shirt.

someone catches him up one way or another.

veronica constantly says her thoughts out loud about everything that happens.

“it’s obviously her, I mean come on.”

which leads to silly debates and banter

“how could it be her ronnie? she has nothing to do with anything.” “yeah, which is why it’s her.”

they don’t watch episodes without each other because it honestly just feels better to watch with the other person

They’ll fall asleep in each other's arms bc we love that around here.

· they go shopping for a costume together, jughead doesn't really like shopping but he will do anything to spend time with her

· veronica will go to the trailer on weekends and they'll watch scary movies, cuddle, cook, and put up decorations outside the trailer

· jughead loves how hard veronica concentrates on carving her pumpkin, she has her glasses on and her focus is 100% on the pumpkin

· they go to the haunted house and veronica holds on tight to him but not as tight as he is holding onto her.

· it also has a maze and they get lost. veronica blames jughead and he blames her so they decide to separate but end up bumping into each other every time they walk away. when they both apologize they finally find their way out of there

· on halloween they will hand out candy together to the little kids and veronica will be in awe of the kids costumes. until it's time to go to cheryl's halloween party

· veronica dresses up as an angel & jughead is the devil. she makes him pose for one photo because she knows that he doesn't like photos.

JERONICA HEADCANONS - FRENEMIES

- Everytime they fight, neither of them holds back. Whenever it happens, the people around them starts to feel a little unconfortable, scared that one of the two might get offended by the other and ruin the mood. However, J & V always look like they could just go on for hours and hours, always ending the fight without a real winner- Jug is the only one who can actually stand up to Veronica, and viceversa- But they always team up everytime someone else tries to jump in the discussion- Someone: “You’re right, Jug, Veronica is a total bitch”. Jug: “First of all, she’s not: she’s a strong young woman with strong opinions which should be respected. Second of all: you’re not even worth the tiniest nail of her body. And last but not least: shut the fuck up.”- V: “Jug, can I borrow your Serpent jacket?” Jug: “Wtf? You always complain about how uncivilized are we. You just told me ten minutes ago that this whole gang thing is ridiculous and toxic.” V: “…yeah but the jacket is cool. Can I borrow it?” Jug: “…” V: “…please?” Jug: “I honestly don’t even know what to say anymore.”- They often go together to the theatre to watch some old b/w movie that only the two of them really knows about. The first time Jug thought that she really meant it when she said that she didn’t want popcorns, and when she tried to steal them from him, they fought. The second time, he asked her a few more times if she wanted popcorns or not, she said she didn’t, then she stole ‘em from him, and they fought again. Now he just knows, so he always buys the biggest bag possible- V with a deep voice: “Uuuh, I’m Jughead Jones, I have a leather jacket and a motorbike. I’m the Serpent King and I’m too cool and edgy for everyone. Look at my hair, look at my tall-dark-handsome persona. I’m soooo smart and sassy, but also dangerous. You really should love me, but you also shouldn’t, cause if you did, I couldn’t complain anymore, and then I wouldn’t know what to do all the time. Also, I couldn’t be broody. So hate me, but if you do it, you suck and I’m misunderstood.”- Jug with a high pitched voice: “OH MY GAAAAAWD, why is everyone so mean to me? Is it because of my daddy? DID MY DADDY PAY YOU? OMG, HE DID IT, DIDN’T HE? DADDYYYYYYYY!”

Juggie will only take off his hat in front of people he feels comfortable around and even then, he still much prefers not to be seen without it. But one thing he absolutely does not under any circumstances allow is for anyone to touch his hat but him. He’s very protective and defensive about it, to the point where everyone knows it’s off limits. Archie remembers this one time he tried it on in the first grade. It was the first fight they ever got into and Jug didn’t play with him at recess for a whole week. No one touches the hat.

Then he and Veronica get together.

Somewhere between the smirky smiles and the sweet voiced “Juggie-kins” Veronica becomes co-owner of the hat.

Sometimes she takes it off him (though she only does this if they’re somewhere she knows no one else will see, so he doesn’t feel vulnerable) adjusts his hair, then spends the next five minutes putting it back on and placing it just right.

They’re an openly affectionate couple for the most part, not to mention they’re both borderline obsessed with each other’s hair, so sometimes, whenever Juggie lays his head in her lap, Veronica will jump at the opportunity to rip the hat off chuck it in his lap and lazily wrap his curls around her manicured fingers.

The day the gang knows that it’s real between them the two walk into the rec room, Veronica wearing surprisingly casual clothes whilst complaining about her hair-

“I thought I could work with the whole ‘bad hair day’ look, but this is just ridiculous. I should’ve worn a hat.”

1. Who is the most affectionate?

Probably Jughead. He’s shy and reserved about touching Veronica in public but behind closed doors he is a starved animal.

2. Big spoon/Little spoon?

I feel like depending on their moods it would change. Like, whenever they were sad they’d prefer to be coddled and be the little spoon but normally Veronica likes to be the big spoon.

3. Most common argument?

Books. Their meanings, the plot, why they liked or disliked characters, etc. The argument that shares first place would probably be fighting over who’s parents are worse. Despite having the same conversation that ends in them ignoring one another for five minutes before Jughead gives in to the silence and slides his hand in-between her thighs and they forget all about it, they never really fight, it’s usually more of a playful banter because, well, that’s their thing.

4. Favourite non-sexual activity?

Jughead and Veronica just love to casually have their skin touching, whether it’s their legs brushing up against one another in Pop’s or linking their pinkies together when they sit in the student’s lounge couch. Alternatively, their favorite activity to do together is drive around on Jughead’s bike and explore places a couple of hours away because they like being so far away, together, and doing something new.

5. Who is most likely to carry the other?

In private, Veronica likes to jump onto Jughead’s back and wrap herself around him like a monkey because that way she can kiss his neck and shoulder blades after a day of her feet aching from the high heels she wears. Also, Jughead randomly likes to do trust falls because he’s a little shit; however, it’s their little inside joke (a nod) to when he used to claim not to trust her because of her father, so it’s like he’s constantly telling her “I trust you enough to catch me”

6. What is the most attractive feature of their partner’s?

Jughead oddly finds Veronica’s legs to be alluring, while Veronica has an affinity for his shoulders/back.

7. What is their partner’s favourite feature?

Jughead loves Veronica’s smile. He will do anything to make her laugh, or giggle, because then he can see her eyes crinkle up with pure joy and he is absolutely in love with how he can make her feel that way. Veronica adores his eyes, because in the dark they look brown, almost black, but in the light they shine like dark green emeralds and she could stare at them for hours if he let her (but when she does he ends up falling asleep. She doesn’t mind, because then she can cuddle into his chest and sleep with him)

8. Partner’s favourite personality trait?

Jughead admires how strong Veronica is. Despite railing at her over what her father was doing and blaming it on her, she stayed strong and never let anyone get the best of her. He knows he has a weakness of allowing people to get into his head sometimes, so he hopes her strength will rub off on him.

Veronica loves how loyal he is. Maybe a bit too much, at times, but if he trusts and cares for you he will fight for you whether you’re right or wrong.

9. Nicknames? & if so, how did they originate?

Veronica calls Jughead Torombolo because it’s what she called him on his birthday, and it stuck ever since.

Jughead calls Veronica Princess, Lodge (playfully), V (sometimes), or Ron. The nicknames depend on the situation and his mood: princess is when they are being romantic, Lodge is when they’re having their usual playful banter, V tends to be around their friends, but Ron is behind closed doors. No one else seems to call her that nickname, so it’s almost personal when he says it.

10. Who worries the most?

Privately, Jughead does but he tries to keep up his act of not caring in public. Veronica is always worried, but that’s mostly when he goes off on Serpent business or when he’s unusually quiet.

11. Who remembers what the other one always orders at a restaurant?

Jughead loves food, and he always remembers what Veronica likes and orders because, well, why not?

12. Who initiates kisses more?

Veronica likes to tease him in public (knowing it’ll lead to more when they get behind closed doors) so she likes to kiss him a lot.

Send each other suggestive texts in hopes of driving the other crazy, but they also FaceTime a lot because they’re both so busy upholding their own lives (Jughead with the Serpents, Veronica with Pop’s and La Bonne Nuit)

25. How many kids would they have?

Three, maybe adopt one (or just three and technically adopt many Serpent children who love to come over and hang out)

26. What do their friends think of their relationship?

Betty and Archie would find it odd considering they dated, but ultimately they’d be happy that they, too, found their perfect match. Cheryl and Toni, who previously bet on how long it would take for them to finally get together (Toni won), would be ecstatic and asking why it took so long. Sweet Pea and Fangs would tease Jughead about how Veronica’s too hot for him, but that she’s good for him and will keep him in line (they love that they’re together).

27. What would their careers be?

Jughead would be a writer, and a photographer on the side (and a Serpent before he leaves the gang to focus more on his life and such).

Veronica would be a fashion designer or try to become mayor to make sure Riverdale (or if they moved to New York, or someplace else) is taken care of the right way.

28. Most romantic?

It varies. Sometimes Jughead realizes that his time with the Serpents takes him away from Veronica so he’ll set up random, cute dates like star gazing. Other times, Veronica will whisk him away for a weekend after a busy, hard week and spontaneously take him to a museum an hour or so away, or something along that line. With little gestures the most romantic would be Jughead, but with sex and whatnot it’d be Veronica.

29. Most protective?

Both. You can mess with them, but the second you even think about their significant other? You’re FUCKED.

30. Most likely to feel jealous?

Jughead.

31. Who puts their hand on their partner’s knee while driving?

Jughead, when he drives Sweet Pea’s truck.

Veronica, usually. But to get back at her, Jughead does the same.

33. Most ticklish?

Veronica. Growing up with no parents to playfully tickle her before bed, her skin is sensitive (which is also why she loves it when he strokes her thighs when having sex)

34. Who went overboard while babyproofing their house?

Jughead

1) Who rocks the Ferris Wheel seat and who flips out and begs them to stop?

- Jughead rocks the Ferris Wheel, and Veronica begs him to stop because she remembers all of those warnings about how badly they’re set up. Jughead will laugh, but will stop when asked.

2) Who is always horny and will have sex at any time, at any place and at any time?

- They both are, really. But if there was one slightly more than the other, it’d be Jughead. He just can’t keep his hands off of Veronica and sometimes he likes to tease her in inappropriate settings (dinner with friends, things like that) to see what she’ll do. And usually because she’s more dominant than him, will take control or drive him crazy until they get back home.

3) Who is more into taking showers/baths together? Who tries to make it relaxing and who tries to make it sexy time?

- Surprisingly, Jughead is more into taking showers and baths together. But that’s probably because it’s a tender moment where he tries to make it relaxing for Veronica, while she (sometimes) tries to make it sexy.

4) Who likes to walk around the house naked and who tells the other to go put some clothes on?

- Veronica loves her body, and loves to walk around naked especially when Jughead is working so he’ll pay attention to her, so he’ll ask her to go put clothes on  (and other times he gives in, of course).

5) Who sleeps on the couch when they get into a fight?

- Veronica. Jughead has a hard time getting to sleep without her, though, so after thrashing around for awhile he’ll cave and carry her back to bed and then they’ll talk out their fight in the morning (where he usually makes her breakfast in bed).

6) Who takes photos of the other while they sleep?

- Jughead, because Veronica looks so cute while she’s peaceful and asleep. When she found out, she began to do the same. Jughead hates it because unlike her goddess-like figure, he looks like he’s trying to suck out all of the air in his sleep.

7) Who said “I love you” first? and who ends their arguments in a fight with “Because I love you”?

- Jughead said “I love you” first, and he always ends their arguments in “because I love you” because as insane as his reasons are, he only does things out of love (but that doesn’t mean Veronica doesn’t either, she’s just… a bit more rational).

8) Who likes to wear the others sweatshirts?

- Veronica, she lives for it because they look hella good on her, and Jughead offers them all the time because when he can get them back they smell like her.

9) Who wakes the other up in the middle of the night to tell them a cool dream they had? Who has the most nightmares, and who sings them back to sleep after?

- Jughead wakes Veronica up to tell her about his cool dreams, but other times he has the worst nightmares about his childhood. And other days it’s Veronica having nightmares about how she used to act before she came to Riverdale. Veronica sings Jughead back to sleep when he has a nightmare, and he lowly hums a tune (because he’s insecure about his singing voice) until she falls back asleep when she has a nightmare.

10) Who is more likely to cheat?

- … Jughead… 

11) Who makes fun of the other for having a crush on them, and who has to remind them that they are in a relationship?

- Jughead makes fun of the crush, Veronica reminds him that they’re dating.

12) Who starts a food fight in the kitchen?

- Surprisingly, Veronica. But that’s usually when he’s not in a great mood, and she wants to lift his spirits.

13) Who initiates duets? and who is the better singer?

- Jughead, because when Veronica’s singing he’ll absentmindedly join in. But Veronica is the better singer by far.

14) Who starts the hand holding? Who grabs the others butt? Who slides their arm around their waist? Who likes to put their fingers in the belt loops?

- Jughead starts the handholding because when they first start dating, Veronica is worried about what others would think (since they dated Archie and Betty, and are now dating each other). However, Veronica loves to grab Jughead’s butt, especially after he goes to the gym regularly with his Serpent friends. Jughead slides his arm around Veronica’s waist all the time, which then is usually adequate for a cute cheek kiss. Veronica pulls Jughead towards her by putting her fingers in his belt loops.

15) Who likes writes the others name on their wrist?

- When V catches this girl flirting with Jughead and sliding her fingers up and down his arm, Veronica writes her name on his wrist so when she does it again, she’ll see who his girlfriend is.

16) Who is more seductive when they are drunk? and who is louder in bed?

- Veronica, and also Veronica.

17) Who is more protective?

- They both are, but one time Veronica got a death threat and he asked his Serpent buddies to help protect Veronica so… Jughead is a bit more protective.

18) Who talks to the other while they are sleeping?

- Jughead comes to bed late sometimes so when she’s sleeping he’ll still have some energy, and he’ll try to lower it by talking lowly to Veronica, telling her how much he loves and adores her, and how he’s so glad they took the chance and got together.

19) Who drives and who has the window seat?

- Jughead drives, and Veronica has the window seat, which works perfect because Veronica loves to blast music with the window down and see what the world has to offer, while Jughead loves to drive because it gives him a sense of peace somehow.

20) Who falls asleep in the others lap and who carries them to bed?

- Jughead, when he’s up late, will end up falling asleep in Veronica’s lap the next day or so and while she can’t carry him (she has a couple of times but he moves excessively when she does) she does wake him up to help guide him to bed. He does not remember it, though, which she finds hilarious.

21) Who cuts the others hair?

- Jughead, surprisingly, loves to do Veronica’s hair. He’ll trim her hair sometimes, and he doesn’t trust Veronica to do his correctly so he goes to his barber (but that’s fine with her, because while he gets his hair cut she gets her nails done at a nail salon nearby).

22) Who is super bad at sexting? and who sends them encouraging messages throughout the day?

- Jughead has never sexted before, so he’s bad at it, and when the other is having a bad day they will both send encouraging messages throughout the day.

23) Who thinks they are not good enough for the others love? and who’s more afraid of loosing the other? Who thinks they keep messing up, only for the other to tell them they don’t need to worry?

- Jughead doesn’t think he’s good enough for Veronica’s love, but Veronica is more afraid of losing him. Veronica keeps thinking that she messes up but Jughead doesn’t think so, and tells her she doesn’t need to worry because this is a relationship and they make mistakes together, and they fix whatever it is TOGETHER.

24) Who starts random slow dancing with the other in the kitchen? Who holds the other just above the ground and kisses them?

- Veronica, and Jughead.

25) Who says shitty puns and sex jokes just to see the other giggle and blush?

- Jughead, definitely.

26) Who kissed first?

- You’d think Veronica, but it was Jughead because he had a random spout of confidence and he just kissed her. He was surprised that she deepened the kiss.

27) Who orders take out at two in a morning? and who wakes the other up at three in the morning to go downstairs with them to get a glass of water because it’s too dark?

- Jughead (since he works late), and Veronica hates going downstairs in the dark so she’ll wake him up.

28) Who writes poems/stories and love songs about the other? Do they sing the songs the write for them?

- Jughead, and yes he does. He may not be very confident with his voice, but since it’s just Veronica, he knows she likes his voice.

29) Who does some crazy stunt to try and impress the other and who ends up driving them to the emergency room after it backfires?

- Jughead, and Veronica drives him to the ER with multiple sighs and playful mutters of “why do I love you, again?”

30) Who is embarrassed when they have to wear their glasses and who thinks they look super cute?

- Veronica wears glasses but she’s self conscious about them because Spence found out about them before she left and made fun of her, but Jughead adores her with glasses on. He finds it super cute.

1. Who poses and who encourages the other by yelling sweet things at them?

- Veronica poses, and Jughead encourages her by shouting cute things at her while he takes pictures of her.

2. Who sighs and rests their head on their partner’s shoulder while the other pulls them closer?

- Veronica sighs and rests her head on Jughead’s shoulder, and Jughead will pull her closer. However, if Jughead is really tired he’ll be the one to do so and Veronica will cuddle him closer to her body.

3. Who is more likely to start a pillow fight at an obscure time at night?

- When Jughead is being a whiny baby, Veronica will hit him with a pillow to get him out of his funk. That started their thing, so when they’re sad or in their own head the other will hit them with a pillow.

4. How do they greet one another when they come home?

- Jughead shouts, “baby, I’m home!” while Veronica says, “Where are you, Torombolo?” because he usually gets home before her.

5. Who laughs and exposes their cover when they try to playfully scare their partner?

- Both of them are really good at hiding their emotions, but sometimes Veronica just can’t hold it in anymore and gives away her cover. Either that, or Jughead will sense it and call her out, which makes her laugh and give herself away.

6. Who starts the dance off in the kitchen while they are baking cookies?

- Veronica loves to dance, so she’ll always start the dance off when Jughead suggests making cookies for whatever reason he can come up with.

7. Are they more likely to built a pillow fort with aesthetically pleasing string lights or sit in a bed of a truck looking up at the stars?

- It depends on who creates the fort/plans the date. Veronica will make the pillow fort pretty and comfortable, while Jughead, when borrowing Sweet Pea’s truck, will lay down blankets and bring snacks and will look up at the stars with Veronica while cuddling. They enjoy both, so it works out for both of them.

8. Who continually tries to prank the other but fails each time?

- They both love to prank each other, but Veronica’s fail more because he either catches her or she ends up laughing when he gets close to what her prank is. Jughead, however, loves pranks because he used to pull them all the time with Jellybean growing up, and then joining the Serpents (Sweet Pea, Fangs, and Toni have a big prank war continuously going on)… Jughead lives for pranks.

9. Who is ready to throw down and who is ready to make a flower crown?

- Both are ready to throw down at any given moment, but Veronica tends to take the higher road and chooses peace instead. Which is building flower crowns together, as odd as it may seem. She did it with her ex-girlfriend Katy Keene in New York whenever they were angry or fought, and it just stuck. Jughead secretly loves it.

10. Who gets the spider out of the house?

- Veronica does. She finds it absolutely hilarious that a gang member is afraid of a tiny spider. But Jughead always insists that the spiders are humongous.

11. Who laughs so hard that they make no sound and whose laugh can you hear from a mile away?

- Jughead gets to the point where it makes no sound, and Veronica’s bell-like laugh can be heard from miles away. Sometimes if she’s laughing really hard she’ll snort all cute-like and Jughead loves to playfully tease her about it.

12. Who is more likely to create an absolute disaster in the kitchen?

- Jughead, definitely. He tries to keep things clean but a lot of the time he gets too lazy to full clean up.

13. Who tries their best at a new hobby and who is ready to hype their partner up?

- Veronica loves to find new hobbies, and Jughead loves to hype her up and sometimes join her if it seems interesting.

14. They get looped into going to a party they don’t wanna go to, do they, A) Get out of it with a mediocre lie, (what is the lie) B) Go and decide to try and have a good time, C) Go and decide to start chaos or D) Go and steal some food?

- These two would go to the party and do B, C, and D. They’d try to have a good time, and if they don’t they start chaos and then they (sometimes get high) and munch on food until the party starts to disperse.

15. Who would be more likely to buy their partner socks with dinosaurs on them?

- Jughead found out that Veronica had a brief dinosaur phase growing up and so he began buying her dinosaur related clothing and then Jellybean and FP told her about how Jughead was obsessed with Pterodactyls and dinosaurs too then she began to do the same, and they go on regular hiking trails where dinosaur bones were found.
