Which riverdale ship did you initially not like and why did it grow on you?
i thought season 1 of riverdale was setting up a conventional archie comics b&a&v straight who-will-he-choose love triangle story bc i was not familiar with roberto's game or interested in cutting him any good-faith slack to start. so i was groaning and begging please noooo i'm already TIRED every time varchie/barchie came up the first few episodes the first time i watched it. i'm on board now with their comphet shenanigans and the weight of their inescapable obligations to the culture. we have fun here :)
also didn't get the appeal of vughead (or really any straight veronica ship. that's a lesbian with comphet problems. i don't even really think she takes men seriously as people with complex emotional ranges) but i really loved her inspiring jughead's comics with her s7 fuckass bangs slay and then telling him his themes were puritanical and misogynistic. get his ass
sometimes i think about how the core four broke apart after graduation only to reunite seven years later and cue time travel and another graduation they still don't manage to stay together. doomed by canon in every timeline. yes this is about the riverdale polycule. i love them
