Why do you think (besides Jim Zub) no other writers were interested in WandaJericho?
What are your thoughts on Jim Zub's Wanda and his writing of her and WandaJericho?
My thought is, 'It's fine.' Neutral-to-positive. When things aren't based around blatant bigotry, my opinions get a lot less spicy, y'know? I think it's okay. He does an okay job.
It's difficult, between shorter runs and decompressed writing and general shifts in the genre, to make new relationships with established characters feel impactful, especially when they're being compared to ones with decades of history. It's tough. I've said before -- and will surely say again -- I don't envy people writing Big Two superhero monthlies, and I personally would not take that job.
Other writers' lack of interest is probably just a product of the collaborative nature of these big superhero universes. They didn't come up with this idea, so it doesn't necessarily resonate with them. No one is interested in everything. I don't blame anyone for not being "into" a particular story idea; it's just a shame that no one bothered to flesh this out. There's plenty to say about Marvel's lack of investment in its Black characters, but that's more of an overarching problem than specific to this.
