If they want to go back to Bush II’s policies, but only worse; if they want the deficit to increase so millionaires and billionaires get a deep tax cut; if they really want another Scalia or Thomas on the Supreme Court; if they want jobs to vanish.
All good points. I tried to be persuasive, but this voter seemed pretty convinced that both candidates are just in it for their "rich buddies," and nothing I said seemed to sway him.
Eh, I put in an application for a few things through my school. Should find out at the end of the week.
I hope you get something. It's always nice to have some extra money (or enough money). Although I'm not sure I could manage to work during law school.
You got me inspired and now I'm checking out a few places that might be interesting and useful. I'm not quite sure what I'm looking for yet, but getting started is always good.
I started looking for work next summer in July of this summer! So you're not alone in the worry.
Wow, that's early. Maybe I'll try to do something about looking during 'reading week' (no lectures, but lots of reading). At least then I can tell my Dad that I'm looking and maybe he won't give me another 50 minute lecture about it.
Have you had any luck with getting something part-time?
Re: ask prompting: I always read your tags and there was a repeated something about job search in them. For future reference my name is Katy.
Hi Katy! I'm Anna.
Hm, interesting. I can't offhand remember mentioning anything but I have a lousy memory so maybe I have just forgotten. Also it's possible that I already worry about getting a job for the summer. Because I'm the type who worries about things well in advance.

What kind of job are you looking for? I had to break down and start applying for something part time to cover my bills that student loans won't/can't cover.
Sorry to hear about you situation, I really hope you can find something :)
I'm not looking for a job right now. Luckily my student aid and loan covers enough of my expenses, plus I can get money from parents and grandparents so I don't have to work during the school year.
For next summer I have to find something. If all else fails I'll go work as a cleaner in Savonlinna or jyväskylä. I would like to get an internship at a law firm but that's pretty difficult. My Dad told me to look work at refugee or immigrant centers or places like that. I haven't done anything about that yet but I should probably start doing that, at least my Dad thinks so.
It's really hard for me to try to find any work over here because I don't speak Estonian or Russian and you need speak at least one of them to be able to work in Tallinn.
Curious what prompted this ask. I don't remember saying anything about looking for work. Maybe she just wanted to bond with a fellow law student. Damn I just realized I don't know her name. Hoe can this be? Also sorry I talk about you in third person.
jdskeptic replied to your post: The only reason that I am using Lexis Advance...
I only use Lexis for its rewards system. WestlawNext all the way.
WestlawNext is a lot better for narrowing down cases by specific key words I think, but their rewards thing sucks! It's so hard to get points and the prizes are so far away. I redeemed the points I had for a laptop sleeve the other day though.
