Jay Johnston, the former "Bob's Burgers" actor who pleaded guilty earlier this year to charges related to his participation in the January 6
Johnston's attorneys argued that federal prosecutors have "persistently overstated Johnston’s participation at the Capitol" on the grounds that "he is an acclaimed Hollywood actor. The government is using his status to make a point to the public." Johnston pleaded guilty this year to a single count of obstructing officers during a civil disorder and he faces up to eighteen months in prison for his crimes.
Jimmy Pesto really is a colossal piece of shit.
Note that his "single count of obstructing" included him wielding a stolen capitol police shield, using it to build a shield wall against first responders, then beating people with the shield.
He was not an innocent bystander. Rot in jail, asshole.

Jay Johnston will spend a year and a day behind bars, a judge has decided.
Actor Jay Johnston, of Bob’s Burgers and Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy fame, is heading to prison for his role in the Jan. 6, 2021 riot at the U.S. Capitol. On Monday, Johnston, 56, was sentenced to 12 months and one day in federal prison. The ruling came almost four months after the actor pleaded guilty to interfering with police officers on duty the day of the riot. His lawyer told a federal judge he’s been “blacklisted” by Hollywood since the riot.

No matter how bad you suck just know that you don't suck as bad as Jay Johnston. He fumbled a successful career as a character comedian and voice actor to go *checks notes* attend an insurrection at the Capitol on January 6. Hope it was worth it, herky jerky traitor.
David Cross and Bob Odenkirk seem to have washed their hands of this man—despite Bob consistently ranking him as one of the funniest people he knows. And that's important because you cannot participate in an insurrection without believing in the racist, bigoted ideas the idiots are peddling.
Fuck you, Jay.

The former voice of 'Bob's Burgers' character, Jimmy Pesto, was sentenced to 1 year in prison for his role in the January 6th Capitol riot.
Jimmy Pesto is going to prison!
Jay Johnston, the voice of Jimmy pesto on Bob’s Burgers was already let go from the show due to his involvement in the January 6 insurrection in the capital. Well, his trial just ended, and he was sentenced to one year in prison. I hope he finds a way to deradicalize himself, and that his second act as an adult ends up being better for himself and society, but I’m glad they were consequences for what he did.
1999.

My mom made this joke when I told her about Jay Johnston (Jimmy Pesto) getting arrested for being a part of the Jan. 6 insurrection. And then she proceeded to make this meme in further response, lmao
