To celebrate Supernatural’s 15th season, the producers have decided to hold a contest to cast an unknown in a recurring role as Sam’s rumored love interest. They are doing open casting calls all over the country. Your best friend Nikki wants to go and she drags you along. Much to your surprise, you land the role and your life changes forever when you fall in love with one of the show’s leads, Jared Padalecki
A/N: I am actually telling two stories here, Jared and Readers, and Sam and Gemini’s. It flips back and forth, so try and keep up! : *Note: My vision for the show is different from what has actually happened, and some characters and plotlines may differ.
Part 1 My Masterlist
Characters: Jared Padalecki, Reader, Best friend Nikki(OC) Jensen Ackles, Misha Collins, Rory Montgomery (OC), PA Emily (OC) Cliff, Other Supernatural cast and crew
Gemini’s POV
My head popped up from the table, startling Sam and Dean, who were quietly eating their breakfast so as not to wake me. “Pancakes?” I said groggily as I sat up quickly. “Why do I smell pancakes?”
“Hey sleepyhead,” Sam said with a smile. “You must be beat, Gem. You fell asleep right at the table!”
Dean pushed a foil-wrapped plate in my direction. “Saved you some.”
I shook my head to clear it. “No guys, listen! My BFF Kelly Kline paid me another visit in my dreams. She told me where Jack is!” I pushed away from the table and stood up. Sam opened his mouth to say something, but I waved a hand at him.
“And before you say anything, I HAVE to go. Jack will only come to me. Don’t ask me why, but Kelly said it had to be me. So I am going! Get Cas, get Mary, but I am going and you can’t stop me.” I was starting to get really worked up.
Sam held out a placating hand. “If Kelly says it has to be you, then it has to be you. I don’t like it but I won’t stop you. I just want you and the baby to be safe.”
I jumped out of my seat and grabbed a piece of scrap paper and I pet from the junk drawer. I quickly scrawled down an address and handed it to Sam, “This is where Kelly says Jack is.”
Readers POV
When I entered Jared’s trailer, he was face-timing the kids. The turned when I entered. “Perfect timing, babe. They were just asking for you.”
I looked over Jared’s shoulder at the screen. “Hey, Sheppy! How’s it goin’ bud?”
Shep proceeded to laugh into a long story about some cool bug he had found before Tom apparently had enough of waiting and pushed him out of the way. “Lemme talk!” he demanded.
“Hi, Tom-Tom! I promise I will talk to everyone. How’s school?”
Tom’s face filled the small screen. “I can add now!” he said proudly
I grinned at him. Damn Jared’s kids were adorable.”Good for you! Keep up the good work. Where’s Odette?”
“She’s nappin”. But Mamma wants to talk to you. Bye Daddy, bye, Y/N.” Without another word, Tom zoomed off, and the screen was blank. The Gen appeared, looking like she had everything under control, as usual.
I don’t know how the woman did it. Yeah, she had help, but she had two very high energy boys, a girl that was into everything and still managed to find time to run a blog. “Hey Y/N! How is your mom? We missed you at the wedding,” Gen said with a smile.
“I’m sorry I couldn’t be there. She’s much better, thanks for asking.” I replied
Jared cleared his throat. “Uh, Gen, we have something to tell you, well two things actually. I asked Y/N to marry me, and she’s pregnant.”
I leaned over his shoulder, “just to clarify, he asked me to marry him before I told him I was pregnant.” I said with a smirk.
“Oh my god! That’s wonderful news! I am so happy for you two! I can’t wait to tell David! When’s the wedding going to be?” she asked curiously.
Jared and I looked at each other. “We haven’t really talked about that yet.”
Gemini’s POV
Sam looked up from the paper I had handed him.”Jack’s in Biloxi, Missippi?”
“That’s what Kelly said,” I told him as he grabbed his laptop and entered the address into a site to get a satellite view. He turned the computer towards us.
Dean peered down at the screen. “It looks like a farm in the middle of nowhere.”
“I’m sure it will be crawling with demons,” Cas commented as he stared at the screen.
“Lucifer wouldn’t have it any other way. He knows we are going to take another crack at him, he’s just biding his time.” Sam said as he glanced at me with worry in his eyes.
“Gabriel was the only thing that kept us from getting our asses handed to us last time we tried to take on Lucifer! What’s gonna be different this time?” Dean demanded. “If anyone has an idea I’d like to hear it.”
“Rowena,” I whispered. “She hates Lucifer. He destroyed her body. He’s the reason she transferred her soul into me. Maybe we can strike a deal with her. Give her something she wants in exchange for her helping us.”
“I don’t trust her,” Dean snapped. “She always finds a way to screw us.”
“Do you have a better idea?” I said impatiently.
Dean looked over at Sam and they had one of those silent conversations that drove me nuts. I rolled my eyes in annoyance, would it kill you two to talk out loud lie normal people once in a while?”
Sam smiled sheepishly at me. “Sorry. Dean thinks we should call Crowley. He hates Lucifer with a passion. We can probably get him to help us. But I know how you feel about him.”
“Desperate times, Sam,” I said with a sigh. “He’s not my favorite person, but whatever we have to do to get to Jack and make it out alive, then I say we do it.”
“Fine then. You do your dream talking thing and see if Rowena will bite, and I’ll reach out to Crowley.” Dean decided.
“"What makes you think Crawley will listen to you?” I said with a smirk.
“Crowley and Dean were very close at one time. I think Dean will be able to get him to agree.,” Cas told me, and I looked at Dean with surprise.
“You and Crowley were close? Why on earth would you and the king of hell be BFFs?”
“Back when Dean was a demon, they were very close,” Cas said matter-of-factly.
“You were a damn demon? Seriously? Is there anything you two haven’t done?” I muttered with a shake of my head.
Dean glared at Cas. Thanks a lot, bigmouth!”
Cas looked completely confused as to why Dean was annoyed. “But you WERE a demon,” he repeated as if this explained everything.
I smiled at Cas. “Just ignore him. He’s just mad because he didn’t want me to know. If he can use his past with Crowley to get him to help us, then great!”
“So what kind of deal can you make with Rowena?” Sam asked.
“I don’t know. But she hates Lucifer enough that maybe she’ll help us just to see him suffer.,” I said hopefully.
Reader’s POV
Now that I was pregnant, the long days of filming were starting to take a toll on me. When I was not needed for a scene, I could usually be found napping in Jared’s trailer. When I was late to shoot a scene because I fell asleep, the immature assholes I work with made sure to tease me about it.
“It’s about time, Sleeping Beauty. We have work to do.” Jensen said with a smirk.
“It can’t be easy carrying Gigantor junior in there. It must be sucking the life from you like a parasite,” Misha interjected.
“Guys…” Jared said warningly.
“For your information, children, you get to have all the fun, but we women are the ones who do the heavy lifting. So until you are ready to carry a baby, shut the fuck up!” you practically snarled.
Jensen and Misha held their hands up in mock surrender. “We were just messing with ya, Y/N,” Jensen said consolingly.
“Well knock it off, or I’ll rat you out to both your wives.”
Misha’s eyes widened, “you wouldn’t dare!”
“Try me!” you said with a grin.
Gemini’s POV
I struggled that night to fall asleep. I didn’t like sharing my head with Rowena. Every time she hijacked my body and I lost chunks of time, I resented her for it. But eventually, exhaustion won out and I drifted off to sleep.
Just like before I was back in the dark, cave-like space, and I could barely make out Rowena’s figure in the shadows. “Hello, Rowena,” I whispered, not sure who else was listening.
“So, here for my help, are you?” she said with a cold smile.
“How do you.....I began, but she cut me off.
“I am always in the background listening, dearie. So if you want to count on my help to fight Lucifer and fetch his wee son, it’s going to cost you.”
“Cost me what?” I demanded impatiently. “Name your terms!”
“Normally I have healing spells in place so I can’t be killed, but after the last time, I took precautions. That is why I transferred my soul into you. Lucifer destroyed my body so thoroughly there was no way I could come back from it this time.”
“Tell me something I don’t know!” I snapped in annoyance.
“What’s left of me is sitting in an evidence box in a forensic lab in Chicago. An unsolved murder no one cares about.” I could tell Rowena was furious just by her tone of voice.
“What can I do?”
I need you to get one of my bones, there is a spell in the black grimoire that I can use to regenerate my body. That is my price for helping you.”

Warnings: mention of/theme of cancer, brief description of hospital setting, fluff.
Author’s Note: I’m sorry if anything in this isn’t completely accurate (medically, etc.). The only experience I have with cancer is watching a family friend suffer, before quickly succumbing to complications with chemo. This story is written in their memory. Please read the warnings and let me know if I have left any out.
Feedback is appreciated.
You pulled your IV fluid line alongside you before sitting on the small love seat beside the large hospital room window. You couldn’t tell if it was the artificial light making you sick, or the last dose of medication. Either way, you needed something to distract you from it all.
And you absolutely loved the rain.
You settled onto the small sofa and unrolled the freshly cleaned blanket that had been resting on the side table. For the first time in your four-day hospital stay, you were strong enough to get up on your own, and were feeling well enough to actually become bored.
“Y/N?” you heard the sweet sound of your boyfriend call out from the doorway. He hesitated, studying the open door, before turning his gaze to you. “Can I come in?”
You nodded, smiling. “Yeah. I’m doing better today. I guess I can have visitors. And you won’t have to wear that silly mask this time.” Jared smiled lightly, then slowly made his way over to you.
“Are you allowed to be up by yourself?” he asked narrowing his gaze. He knew you were stubborn, and you could tell that he wasn’t going to trust your answer anyway.
“They didn’t say I couldn’t. Plus, I’m still in my room. I feel a lot better today, other than the medications making me a little nauseated.” You peered up at the rain. “But I don’t want to talk about that. I should be going home in a few days. That’s all I care about.” You curled your legs under you, trying your hardest to hide from the constant chill of the hospital.
“Have you eaten anything?” Jared asked, standing just out of reach. You shook your head.
“Not since last night, but I’ll try some dinner later.” You patted the sofa beside you. “Come watch the rain with me, Jare. It makes me feel better.” Jared smiled wider than you had seen in a while. He didn’t hesitate to take the empty seat beside you, before collecting you into his warm embrace. You leaned your head against his shoulder.
“It’s really coming down out there,” he muttered, stroking your arm lightly. He stopped his hand just before he reached your elbow, not wanting to get tangled in the tubes.
“Yeah. I hope it rains the day I go home. I’ve always seen rain as a good omen.” You chuckled dryly. “I mean, it’s raining today, and the doctor told me that the antibiotics are kicking this stupid infection from my system. I guess the fourth antibiotic was the charm, huh?”
“I guess so.” Jared leaned his head against yours. “If that’s the case, I never want the rain to end.” You just smiled as he hugged you a little tighter. You knew he worried about you, and when the next nasty infection was going to hit you. You were strong, there was no denying that. But, reality of it was that you had cancer, and it was fighting almost as hard to bring you down.
Jared began to sing a song that you remembered hearing on the radio the other week. He was a little off key, but you didn’t care one bit. You loved to hear his voice. And he loved to be right there by your side. Because, honestly, he didn’t know how much time he had left with you. And he was going to be there thought every step of your fight.
A/N: had this little dream and needed to put words to it. the feeling i got from the embrace was everything i’ve ever needed and maybe that was my subconscious giving me the comfort i actually need. It’s obviously an AU where Jensen and Jared are in it as well as JJ. Mentions of Megan Padalecki as well.
Characters: Jensen, Jared, JJ, and Reader
Triggers/Warnings: fluff, comfort, those are triggers ya’ll because i usually angst the shit out of stuff
The sun was beating down on you as you ran along the beach, the tide slowly ebbing and flowing over your bare feet, sending chilling but refreshing stimuli to your aching joints. You loved the beach this time of morning, it was nearly empty, sea gulls dipping and diving to catch some kelp along the water. You were sure Jensen was up with a semi sleepy JJ and while Jared usually took this morning runs with you, he was back at the beach house, packing.
He was leaving to visit his sister, Megan, and you loved his family with all your heart, but these past few weeks, you’ve needed your best friend more than ever. Every lilt in your voice, your lidded eyes, the long nights watching the ocean, wrapped up in one of Jared’s sweatshirts, your knees hugging to your chest, a warm cup of tea or an iced beer, barely sipped; signs that you were headed towards a dark place. He noticed; he tried to persuade Megan to come to him, but she was in town for a book signing, back in Austin.
You all were in Maryland.
You hated the distance. Not the mileage, nor the drive, but the physical absence of Jared’s proximity. His warmth, his calloused hands, his encompassing embrace. It was as if you had a third appendage and it was suddenly torn from your body- it was that painful when he was gone.
That’s how you knew.
You knew that he was and would always be a part of you, no matter if things were platonic as they were or if you made that step. A step you were too afraid to take. For if you tripped, you knew he’d be the one to catch you, but would he want that responsibility for the rest of his life?
You felt as if you were a crutch, a burden, your depression and anxiety masked by jovial playfulness, plastering a smile to your weathered face, makeup hiding the circles under your eyes, the excess baggage that your face always seemed to keep, whether you checked in or checked out.
Jensen noticed your shift in mood when Jared had announced his departure. Even JJ could tell that her Auntie YNN “wasn’t smilin’ like she used’ta”. You pulled her in close and kissed her honey colored hair and promised you’d be back to your normal self in a bit and she smiled up at you, holding out her tiny pinky.
“Promise?” she offered it to you and Jared had walked in on the exchange.
“What are you two promisin’,” Jared let out a sigh as he fell into his spot next to you on the couch, “no more ice-cream before dinner?” His laughter fell flat as he took in your appearance and JJ’s quirk of her trembling lip.
“Just some girl stuff, right Bug?” you winked in her direction, patted her bottom, suggesting she hop on off and Jensen called her over for a walk on the beach.
“Catch you two later,” Jensen gave you those father eyes, you know the ones, where they were stern, unwavering, but full of promise? Yeah, you wanted to punch him in those damn eyes. Which caused an unwelcomed chuckle to emerge from your lungs.
“What’d I’d miss,” Jared shifted in his seat, crossing a leg under the other, facing you.
Your silence was deafening.
You sat there, picking at your cuticles, a nervous habit that if you were a poker player, your tell would be all over the circuit. Jared pulled your hands into his massive mitts and squeezed them encouraging you to look him in the eyes. You hated with a passion when he would stare into your temple, boring holes, until you turned to him, grunting out a “what, Jare?”
“You know what, YNN,” Jared rubbed his thumb over your wrist, just his touch comforted you and it nearly broke the dam that you had been building like a god damn busy ass beaver before winter struck. You held it together, mostly, because your demons were not his. He didn’t need that extra stress, not when he was about to visit his sister at her newest book signing.
“Talk to me, please,” his voice cracking like butterscotch brittle, “don’t push me out, not now, YN, please.”
“I’m not, Jare,” you finally looked into his eyes and it was almost blinding. A stark contrast to your murky ones and he took notice of them too.
“Tell me what I can do,” he begged, “just say the words and I’ll do whatever I can, YNN, but you have to tell me, you can’t keep bottlin’ this stuff up,” he ran his thumb across your cheek wiping the rogue tear that betrayed you.
You ripped your hands from his, palms inward, you rubbed at the dryness of your eyes, the nights of sobbing have made them raw, like the sand from the beach outside the windows, infiltrated your lids. Exhaling all the pent up emotions you held close to your ribs like a warrior’s breastplate worn into battle, you stood up abruptly and Jared jumped up pulling you into his chest. Your head barely reached his pecs, but just enough that you could feel his heart beating; as much as yours was, maybe even more.
“I need you, Jare,” your words were muffled into his cotton t-shirt and your breath raised goosebumps on his skin.
“You have me,” Jared kissed the top of your head, embracing you as tightly as he could, your arms wrapping around his neck, your bodies flush against one another.
“Pack an overnight bag,” Jared kissed your lips, chaste, timidly, afraid anything else might just break you into shattered pieces of glass that he could never mend.
“You’re comin’ with,” his hands encompassed your fragile face, “and we’ll get though this together,” he held up his pinky waiting for your reaction.
A soft smile finally graced your features and you wrapped your very own pinky around his.

[Catch up here]
As the two of you kissed you felt relieved that you had brushed your teeth back at the hotel while you were packing your things. His lips felt softer than you thought they would – now that you were actually paying attention. “Could you go grab my bag?” You pulled away and asked him, “So I can change into something to swim in.” Your lips reconnected and you put your hands on his chest to push him back slightly.
Jared laughed, “All right, all right, I'm goin'.” He went outside to his car and grabbed your suitcase to bring in the house. He put it down on the couch and watched you as you dug through the clean clothes. You found those red panties and a white sports bra. Turning your gaze to him you motioned to the clothes in your hand and he took the hint, leaving the room and heading back to the kitchen.
It took you no time at all to get your dress and undergarments off. You left them in a small pile in front of the couch and slipped on new panties and bra. When you were done you walked to the kitchen but you didn't see him. “Jared?” You called out, but there was no answer. Moving further into the kitchen you spotted movement outside of the window so you started over to the sink and peered out, smiling when you saw Jared already in the pool. Taking the opportunity to collect your thoughts you walked over to the table and sat down where you had that morning during breakfast. Spending time with Jared so far had been fun, but you were hesitant to take things further. You didn't know for a fact that's what Jared wanted, but why else would he still have you around if he wasn't trying to get in your pants? Not wanting him to think something was wrong you took a deep breath and started outside after a few minutes.
“There you are,” he said after coming to the surface of the water, “I was startin' to think you were in there robbin' me.”
You let out a chuckle and sat down on the edge of the pool letting your feet hang in the water, “And yet you stayed out here so if I was robbing you all of your stuff surely would have been gone because you suck.” You stuck your tongue out at him and he splashed some water on you, “Hey! That's cold!” You protested, trying to cover your body with your arms.
The man laughed and swam closer to you, “You're the one who brought up swimmin’, Y/N, you can't swim sittin' on the ledge,” before you could say anything Jared grabbed you and pulled you into the water with him.
The cold water stung your skin and when your head came back up you groaned unhappily, “You're a mean, mean man.” You pushed your hair back out of you face and kicked your legs under the water to stay afloat.
He splashed water at you for a second time, “I am not,” even as he said it he had a smirk across his face.
“I beg to differ,” Y/N said and started swimming away from the man. You heard him ask where you were going as you felt his hand grip your ankle causing you to stop and look back at him. “See, like I said, mean.” You stuck your tongue out and tried to get away but it was no use. Jared was a lot stronger than you and he pulled you back to him with ease. He pulled your leg around his waist, making you have to do the same with the other, and even though he wrapped his arms around you, you kept your arms crossed in front of you.
“Don't pout,” he said with a grin, “You're too beautiful to look sad.”
Rolling your eyes you let out a scoff, “What exactly are your intentions with me?” You asked him boldly with a raised brow. You hated how your body was reacting to him and it was making it more difficult to stay fake mad at him.
The man's grin grew wider, his tongue exiting his mouth to moisten his lips, “Isn't it obvious?”
Mixed emotions filled you. Of course you found Jared Padalecki sexy and of course you've fantasized about something like this scenario a million times, but you never in a million years actually thought you'd end up living your fantasy. “I didn't realize you were the type to hook up with strange women,” your voice had a slight disappointed tone to it and his smile faded.
“I'm sorry to disappoint you,” he said and let you go, “But just so you know, I don't normally do this.”
You felt like that line was something someone who did normally do it would say, but you didn't want to cause any tension when he still needed to drive you to the airport later. You didn't know what to say, but you wanted to lighten the mood back up so you smirked and splashed some water in his direction.
Jared hadn't been paying attention so the water startled him and he turned back to you, “Now who's being mean?”
Y/N shrugged, “I don't know what you're talking about.” This time you were able to swim away and he laughed as he debated whether or not he wanted to follow you. “What's the matter? Can't keep up because I bruised your ego?” Your sharp tongue had gotten you into trouble in the past, but so far it seemed to be a trait Jared liked.
“You're somethin' else,” he chuckled and started chasing after you. Y/N managed to keep dodging him, but then you felt his hands wrap around your waist as he pulled your back into his chest. “Gotcha,” he gloated.
You relaxed against him, “Maybe I let you get me,” Y/N challenged. You still weren't sure what you wanted to happen, but you also weren't ready to stop whatever was going on. One of his hands rested flat against your bare stomach as the other one moved to your face. He nudged your chin to turn your head back so you could see him a little better. Without warning his lips crashed into yours causing you to let out a small moan. Damn you body for betraying me you thought to yourself.
“We don't have to do anythin' you don't wanna do,” he reassured you before kissing you again. You turned around in his embrace and wrapped your arms around his neck; his hands now cupping your ass. Your legs once again wrapped around his waist and he held you against him while your tongues danced in his mouth.
Feeling his erection against you made you more excited and you knew you wouldn't be able to resist him for much longer. “I want to,” breathless words managed to escape your lips. His kissing became more intense once he knew things were headed in that direction and he moved you both through the water until your back was against the wall.
“We aren't fuckin' in the pool,” the man told you between kisses and finally he lifted you up and sat you down on the ledge and then pulled himself up out of the water. Taking your hand he led you back to the house, not caring about the water you were both dripping on the floor as you made your way upstairs. Once you reached the master bedroom his lips were back on you, but this time your neck. His lips moved down your body and he placed several kisses on your skin above your sports bra. Because it was wet it was a little hard to take off, but with your assistance the white fabric was now on his bedroom floor. He took a step back to admire you and you saw him lick his lips. Having him stare at you like that made you nervous and even though you wanted to hide your body you didn't.
“Jared, you here?” Both of you looked at each other at the sound of the familiar voice and you froze.
“Shit!” He moved you away from the door where you had been standing against and he quickly stepped out of the room leaving you alone behind the closed door.
All of your clothes were downstairs and you knew you wouldn't be able to get back into your bra so you went over to his dresser and found a shirt you could put on. Since he was so tall the shirt fit you like a dress and you chuckled at yourself in the mirror. Taking a deep breath you picked up your discarded bra and opened the door. As you walked down the stairs you could hear talking in the kitchen and you were thankful you were able to go to the living room undetected to change into your own clothes. You changed your panties and slipped on a pair of jeans then looked at your shirt choices before deciding to keep Jared's shirt on. When your suitcase was zippered back up you slowly walked down the hall to the kitchen and stopped at the doorway.
“You must be the slut who's sleeping with my husband,” Genevieve greeted you the second she saw you.
“Nice to meet you too,” you retorted. You didn't think it was possible but your day had just gotten a lot weirder. You looked over at Jared and his apologetic gaze wasn't lost on you. “I'll let you two be,” you started for the fridge, “Just a little thirsty.” After grabbing a bottle of water you went back to the living room and sat down. You didn't know what else to do but sit there and listen to the man you almost had sex with fighting with his wife who he was supposed to be separated from. What did you get yourself into, Y/N?”

Master List
Part 1 (all parts are linked)
Reader’s POV
“No! I can’t be. I can’t. We were careful.” I whispered, shaking my head in denial. Then I remembered the night Jared and Rory got into their fight. Okay, so we were mostly careful.
“You never answered my question, Y/N. How late are you?” Nikki asked softly.
With a sigh of defeat, I pulled up my calendar on my phone and counted, and counted again. “Two weeks.” I finally admitted. “I thought it was from stress.”
“Maybe we should just go to the drugstore and get a test. That way we can be sure.” Nikki said in that no-nonsense way of hers.
“What if I am? What will I do? I’m not married like you are. This wasn’t planned. And what about the show? How do I drop that little bombshell? And how do I tell Jared? He has three kids already, I have no idea if he even wants any more.” I dropped my head into my hands. “I’m really freaking out here, Nik.”
She sat down next to me and rubbed my back gently. “Well let’s find out if you are first before we panic. And as for everything else, we’ll figure it out. How about you finish packing us up for our flight and I’ll go buy the test? It will take your mind off of things for the moment.”
I nodded. “Okay, let’s do that. Thanks, Nikki. I don’t know what I would do without you!”
She grinned at me, “You’d still be a nurse back in Philly, Sister.”
Gemini’s POV
They all sat around the table in the war room looking at me.
“Can you tell us what happened back there, Gem?” Sam asked me gently.
“I don’t know,” I said softly. I really didn’t.
“How do we know it wasn’t Rowena doing her witch mojo thing?” Dean asked.
“It didn’t feel like last time. It felt different.” I admitted.
“I think I have an idea about what might be going on.” Cas finally said.
“Well don’t keep us in suspense, Cas. Tell us already!” Dean snapped.
Cas shot Dean his usual look of irritation. He continued as though Dean hadn’t spoken. “The baby shares Sam’s blood, including the demon blood. I think the baby may also share Sam’s powers, and they are manifesting themselves through Gemini.”
The room was silent as we all processed this. Everyone looked from Sam to me and back again. I stared at him in confusion. “What is he talking about? Demon blood? Powers? What haven’t you told me?”
Dean coughed awkwardly before glaring at his brother. “You didn’t tell her?”
“No, I didn’t tell her, Dean. It happened a long time ago, and it’s not a time in my life that I like to revisit, okay?” Sam snapped.
“Would someone tell me what the hell is going on!” I demanded, smacking my palms on the table for emphasis.
A muscle in Sam’s jaw twitched, and he jumped from his chair and grabbed my wrist, pulling me with him. “Let’s talk in our room, Gem.”
We sat down next to each other on the bed, Sam still holding my hand tightly in his much-larger one. I opened my mouth to speak, but Sam put his finger to my lips to silence me.
“I have a lot I need to tell you, Gem. Some of this is pretty hard for me to talk about. I wasn’t keeping this from you, I just never dreamed any of this would come up again.” His hazel eyes looked so troubled.
“Whatever it is, we will figure it out, together,” I told him as I gently caressed his cheek, and he closed his eyes for a minute, leaning into my touch. Then as though steeling himself for battle, he took a deep breath, opened his eyes, and looked at me.
“It all started when I was six months old……” He began.
Reader’s POV
Nikki was gone for a long time. So long that I fell asleep waiting for her to come back. The long nights sitting up with my mother had taken their toll, and my body just finally shut down. When I woke, it was getting dark outside and I panicked. “Crap, how long was I asleep?”
“At least three hours. You’ve barely stopped since we got here, and it’s gonna be full-speed ahead when we get home, so I decided to let you sleep.” She pointed to a bag on the table. “The tests are in there. I got a few different kinds, I wasn’t sure what you wanted. Just so you know, we need to leave for the airport in about an hour.”
“Great, no pressure or anything,” I muttered.
“So, are you gonna do it or what? I need to know if my kid is gonna have a BFF or a future spouse.” Nikki said with a grin.
“I’m glad that you find this all so entertaining. I’m about to lose my shit and you’re cracking jokes. Some friend you are!” I sucked my tongue out at her childishly.
“Would you shut up and go pee on the stick already?” Nikki yelled after me as I stomped off to the bathroom to do the test.
“Die you cherry popsicle eating cow!” I screeched as I slammed the door as hard as I could.
“Love you too, you stupid giraffe!” I heard Nikki swear at the closed door, completely unperturbed. We had been friends too long for any name calling to hurt each other’s feelings. She knew I didn’t mean it.
I didn’t need to read the instructions, I had been doing pregnancy tests since nursing school. I peed on the stick, capped it, and waited five of the longest minutes of my life.
Nikki was sitting on the couch quietly when I walked out. She wasn’t on her phone texting Misha or reading emails, she was just waiting. I sat down and immediately burst into tears. She gathered me into her arms and rocked me as I cried. “It’s gonna be okay, Y/N. Jared loves you. He will love this baby too.”
“I’m scared, Nik. I’m not ready to be anyone’s m-m-mother! I gave up everything for this stupid show. My job, my life, my friends. What if they fire me? What if Jared doesn’t want this baby?” I sobbed harder. “I should have been more careful!”
Nikki brushed my hair out of my eyes and handed me a tissue. “It takes two to tango, girlfriend. Padaleski is a big boy. This isn’t all on you. The car will be here any minute to take us to the airport. Why don’t you go wash your face and freshen up? Jared and Misha are picking us up at the airport, and you don’t want him to see you looking like a hag, do you?”
She grinned when I cracked a smile. “Your lucky we are both pregnant, Collins, or I would bitch-slap you right now,” I said with a watery chuckle as I hugged her tightly.
Gemini’s POV
It took a long time for Sam to tell me the whole story. I only interrupted him a few times to ask questions when I was confused about something, and he clarified for me and continued on. His voice never wavered as he recounted the terrible story that began with the deal Mary made with Azazel to save his father’s life. He had experienced so much pain, endured so much loss. My heart just broke for him.
He finally finished speaking and the silence stretched between us. “Say something, Gem.” He demanded desperately.
“This just gets stranger and stranger,” I said quietly.
Sam’s shoulder’s slumped in defeat and he looked at the floor. I put my hand on his cheek and whispered, “Sam, look at me.” His eyes met mine, and they were shiny with unshed tears. I realized just what it had cost him to relive all of that again. “I love you. That isn’t going to change. And we will figure all this crazy shit out together as long as we are honest with each other, okay?”
“Okay.” He agreed.
I yawned hugely. “Lay with me?” I asked him. “That demon-mojo thing really wiped me out.”
Sam put his arm around my shoulder, and I snuggled in close, burying my face into the warmth of his neck as we talked quietly. “How are we gonna be able to do this?” He asked me suddenly.
I peeked up at him. “Do what, exactly?”
“Parent a special kid like this. You were raised by a witch and me by a hunter. Not exactly the best role models.” He absently twirled a strand of my hair around his finger. “We are way out of our league here.”
“My Gram loved Leo and me, and she gave us everything she had until the day she died. Dean practically raised you and would move heaven and earth for you. So we’ll make it up as we go and hopefully learn from our mistakes just like regular parents do,” I whispered, my voice fading as my eyes drifted closed and I fell into a deep sleep.
I woke with a start, still in our bed, but Sam was gone. There was a strange woman standing at the foot of the bed staring at me. Blind instinct had me reaching out for my gun which I usually kept on the nightstand, but it wasn’t there. “You won’t be needing that,” she said with a soft smile.
She was dressed is a long white gown, and her feet were bare. “Are you an angel? Does Cas know your here?” I snapped. “How were you able to get past the wards?”
She smiled sort of sadly at the mention of Cas’ name. “I’m not an angel. I had to come to you in your dreams. It’s the only safe place I could reach out to you without him knowing. We need to talk.”
“Who the hell are you?”
She sat down on the edge of the bed. “My name was Kelly Kline.” She said simply.
Kelly Kline? Why did I know that name? I sat up straighter. “Wait a minute…. you said “was”.
“Can’t get anything past you, can I? That’s right, I’m dead.” She said softly.
And then it hit me. “Wait a minute. I know who you are. You are Lucifer’s son’s mother. Sam told me about you.”
She nodded. “Yes, I am Jack’s mother. I died giving birth to him. That’s why I am here. I know you are pregnant, and I know what your son is destined to do. I am here to beg you, from one mother to another, to please save my son.”
Reader’s POV
I swore Nikki to secrecy on the plane, making her swear she wouldn’t tell Misha until I’d had a chance to tell Jared. She rolled her eyes at me. “Are you serious? Misha can’t keep a secret to save his life.”
“Neither can you, so the two of you are perfect for each other,” I said with a snort.
“Bite me, giraffe,” Nikki said out the side of her mouth.
Jared and Misha were waiting for us when we got off the plane. They must have come directly from the set because Jared was dressed in one of Sam’s flannels and jeans and Misha in Cas’ suit minus the trenchcoat.
Jared enveloped me in his arms. “God I missed you. How’s your Mom?”
“Better, thanks. I missed you too.” I leaned into his chest and sighed. “How’s work been?”
Jared gave a tired sigh. “Crazy. We had to juggle some things to shoot around your absence. Everyone will be happy to see you. Come on, babe. Let’s get your bag and go home.”
I looked over at Misha. “Hey Mish. I bought your wife back in one piece. Philly is all out of red popsicles, so I had no choice.”
He chuckled as he gave me a hug. “I hope Nikki behaved herself. Any run-ins with Mindy while you were home?” He asked.
“Are you kidding? After the smackdown Y/N gave her at our party? Mindy didn’t come within a hundred miles of us.” Nikki said with a smirk. “You know your girl’s a badass, right Padaleski?”
“I’d be stupid to argue with you, Nik.” Jared agreed.
After the driver dropped the four of us off at home, we said our goodbyes to Nikki and Misha and headed up to our apartment. Jared and I didn’t have to be on set until later tomorrow, so we had some time together.
We’d decided we were both too tired to go anywhere, so we ordered food from our favorite Italian place that delivered. I changed into leggings and a pink Eagles sweatshirt I’d picked up at the airport just to piss Jensen off.
“Nice shirt. Wonder how fast I can get it off you?” Jared said with a wicked grin.
“Isn’t it great? I thought I’d wear it to work tomorrow.”
Jared laughed that wonderful laugh of his. “Jensen will LOVE that.”
When our dinner came we sat on the couch eating and talking. He offered me some wine, which I declined. He raised an eyebrow but didn’t comment. I asked him to tell me about the wedding in an effort to change the subject.
“Gen looked beautiful and really happy. I mostly spent my time corralling the kids. It felt weird without you there. I was glad I got to spend time with the kids and see everybody, but I was glad when it was over.” He looked pensive for a moment.
“Did it make you think about your wedding?” I asked quietly.
He shrugged. “Not really. It made me realize how much I missed being married. And how much I wished you were with me.”
“I’m sorry I wasn’t there, Jared. I know how important it was, but my Mom needed me.”
He put his hand on my arm. “Yes, she did. I completely understand. In fact, I’m glad you weren’t there because it helped me figure some stuff out. I need to talk to you about something.”
I put my plate down. “I have something to tell you too,” I whispered. “You go first.”
“So, seeing Gen get married made me realize that I want that again. With you. I know this seems sudden, but I’ve been thinking about this from practically the minute we started dating.”
He pulled a black box out of his pocket and my heart skipped a beat. When he opened it, inside was the most beautiful diamond ring I had ever seen. “ I love you, Y/N. I think you are my soulmate as much Gemini is Sam’s. Will you marry me?”
“Yes, definitely,” I whispered, tears streaming down my face. I held out my hand and he slipped on the ring. It fit perfectly. “It’s so big!” I said in awe. He leaned in and kissed me, his lips warm and soft on mine. “I love you, Jared.”
“Well, I’m a big guy. I couldn’t give you a tiny ring, now could I? So, that was my big news. What did you want to talk to me about?” He asked curiously.
I took a deep breath. “ So when I was home…….Nikki figured out that I…….I’m pregnant, Jared.”

AN: This is for @atc74 Gif Challenge Celebration. I received a Jared gif and had some fun with it. All other gifs are not mine, credit to creator/owner.
Characters: Jared, Jensen, Bob, Reader
Genre: Fluff, Crack, a bit of suggestiveness (maybe???)
!!DO NOT POST MY WORK ON ANY OTHER SITE, CLAIM AS YOUR OWN, OR PLAGIARIZE!!
You were behind the camera as Bob called, “Cut!” which caused both of the main stars, Jared and Jensen, to quickly snap out of character and create utter nonsense. Jensen hiked up his jeans to his waist, and grabbed your glasses, put them on the tip of his nose and did his best Steve Urkel impression. As you tried to stifle the laughter, the crew maneuvered around you and the cameras.
You reached for your glasses, but he held them above his head, knowing very well you would have to get a running start to reach.
“No fair, Ackles,” you mock pouted only to see his eyes go wide with amusement and was that, concern?
“Uh dude, just what in the hell are you doin’?” He toyed with the arm of the glasses to flip them over his eyes to get a better look at his best friend.
You had to know what Jensen was looking at, so you spun on your heel, your hair whipping in your face. Tucking a few strands behind your ears, you had to cover your mouth from the eruption of laughter you were producing.
Jared was raising his prop plaid shirt up his chiseled abs, making this blue steel you know you wanna touch it, type of face.
“C’mon, YNN,” Jared puckered his lips together, drawing his long fingers up his tawny skin, and as he looked at you, something extra was hiding in his eyes, but Jensen nudged you as Bob walked back onto set.
“YN!” Bob shouted almost too close to your ear, “Headset on, shut your mouth, and let’s get these kids back to their playground,” he eyed Jensen and Jared and they silently gulped. You simply nodded, smirked towards the so called kids, and took your place behind one of the cameras.
“Ackles, Padalecki,” you called out, “marked and ready!”
Bob called the actors back into action and as they played out their current scene, sans any mishaps or hi-jinks, you couldn’t help but wonder, just what you had seen in Jared’s eyes earlier. Listening to this song: Fire Escape by Andrew McMahon and the Wildnerness
The city of Vancouver was elegant, regal almost, with cobblestone side-streets, little shops, a lot of snow, a barrage of people, English speaking, French speaking, and tourists. However, you always felt alone, watching people from your fire escape, while smoking a menthol cigarette, making puffs of circles from your mouth, exhaling smoke like a dragon through your nostrils, keeping your cache of secrets and treasures protected.
It didn’t matter where you were, what time of the year it was, you could always be found on the fire escape. you made it your own personal perch, like a bird you watched the ground, spied on the neighbors, caught the bartering between the bodega owners and customers, and sometimes, you caught the eye of a passerby. mostly though, no one noticed you and that’s what you liked the best of the city. you could see it but it never seemed to notice you.
Until a cold January day, you had just been fired, for taking too many smoking breaks , go figure, and you had stopped at the bodega across the street, packed a hemp bag full of fruits, dried and fresh, two filets of fish, halibut, a rich fish for the cheap neighborhood, and a bottle of fire water, aka whiskey. You were going to celebrate your unemployment like a boss.
You breaded the filets, seared them off skin side down, until they were flaky, you poured yourself a goblet of whisky, chopped up some mango, cilantro, and pineapple for a salsa for the fish, and made your way to the window that faced your fire escape. You were quite content, a simple meal, a solid drink, and a cigarette to top it off. As you pulled on the filter, you opened the window and stepped out, not caring about the cold air, in your black jeans and white lacey tank top. As you settled on the freezing metal, you reminded yourself that the next time you came out here, you’d bring one of those Mexican throws, and other cozy weather proofed items like a pillow, maybe a plant, fake of course, when the sound of a gravelly voice shook you from your reverie,
“May I bum a cig off ya,” the scruffy, dimpled, shaggy haired man, settled above you on his own fire escape, asked, already proffering his long arm towards you, his massive hand waiting for you to hand him one.
“Bad day?” You pushed a thick white cigarette in-between the metal grates, waiting for his answer.
“Bad, no, long as shit, yeah,” he inhaled deep and exhaled slowly, savoring the first drag.
His honesty humored you and you chuckled, mumbling a ‘be right back’, as you climbed into your apartment, grabbed another tumbler, filled it a quarter of the way, and shimmied back into the escape. “This might help,” you offered the alcohol towards the stranger who happened to be your upstairs neighbor, who received it graciously.
He took a swig, downing the whole glass, that’s when the color returned to his cheeks, the rush of alcohol in his blood. “I’m Jared,” he nodded a thanks for the drink and cigarette.
“YNN,” you curtly replied, taking a pull on your own cigarette. The two of you sat in silence until the night fell, the bodegas closed, and the owners swept at the cobblestones.
“'Til next time?” Jared handed you back your glass, “I’ll bring snacks.”
You chuckled again, “Okay, I’ll bring the ciggies and alcohol.”
“Night, YNN,” you looked up into the stranger’s face and were shocked at how beautiful he really was, causing you to halt in your response.
“Hmm, night, Jared,” you gave him a small smile and pulled yourself back into your apartment, never noticing how cold you actually were. For the first time, too, you didn’t feel alone.
And that worried you. Someone else was on your fire escape. Someone attractive and contemplative was intruding on your own escape from life.
Until next time, you thought over his words, just why in all your years in this apartment, on this fire escape, did this stranger find solace in the escapism of it all?
Summary: single you, loner you, meets single, loner Jared. Unaware of who he is, you two form a friendship through your love of the city, fire escapes, and a smoke.
Characters: Jared and Reader also pairing is platonic
Song: Fire Escape by Andrew McMahon and the Wilderness
It had been two months since the picnic, where you brought in your old mexican throw blanket, two mason jars, some apple cider, and Jared supplied the snacks, whoopie pies, cheese and crackers, various candies, and a tealight candle. You two spoke of your pasts and futures and it wasn’t until you turned Pandora on your cell phone, that the lyrics to a song played in the background.
I met up with an acrobat
In Brooklyn or some place like that
With life and taxis flying past
We tore that dance hall down
Pocket change and subway cars
Our big ideas filled empty bars
You might be from the moon or mars
Either way, I’m never going home
So, lets hang an anchor from the sun
There’s a million city lights but
You’re number one
You’re the reason I’m still
Up at dawn
Just to see your face
We’ll be going strong
With the vampires, baby
We belong, we belong awake
Swinging from the fire escape
Hushed tones filled the hallways as you let the melody drift in and provide the unspoken truths that you both had been sharing, holding back, stashing away in the apartments you holed up in; the music continued to play. You grabbed a mason jar of apple cider, poured in some rum from a flask, and offered some to Jared, who again, chuckled good naturedly, and you felt warm, from the rum, who knows. You hadn’t a friend in years. You had relationships yes, but they were bitter and humorless. With Jared it wasn’t forced, you could speak as you wanted, you could sit in silence, and drown in one another’s breathing.
I was drinking from the wishing well
Some junkie metal-head hotel
When we boarded the carousel
The roof was caving in
On the stage my Oxblood friend
Was singing songs about the end
The bankers in the lion’s den
Were dropping lines like beggars in the snow
So, lets hang an anchor from the sun
There’s a million city lights but
You’re number one
You’re the reason I’m still
Up at dawn
Just to see your face
We’ll be going strong
With the vampires, baby
We belong, we belong awake
Maybe you two were vampires, sucking the life out of the nights, finding yourselves sat on your fire escapes perched waiting for dawn, before going your separate ways. Smooth conversations, side splitting stories from Jared’s job, which you, the hermit that you were, had never owned a television in all your life. You preferred a good cigarette and book over the monotony of superficial reality vs. scripted imagination. Jared took no offense, rather relished in the fact that you were interested in him as a person, not the actor or character he played on the show. When Jared found that you wrote for the local gazette, advice column, and that you had go to school for journalism, he wondered how anyone could just let you go; over cigarette breaks that lasted longer than 15 minutes. He’d find a way to get you back into the workforce, he was going to make it his mission. That and make you laugh, because it felt like the sun and he wanted to anchor himself to you and your laughter.
Walking home your hand in mine
Tattoos on the river line
The morning birds are taking flight
Either way I thought that you should know
You’re my number one
You’re the reason I’m still
Up at dawn
Just to see your face
We’ll be going strong
With the vampires, baby
We belong, we belong awake
Swinging from the fire escape
Swinging from the fire escape
Swinging from the fire escape
Swinging from the fire escape
Weeks passed. Months drew by. Winter turned to Spring and Jared cane through with his mission in his life outside of work. He got you a PA position with possibility to move up contingent on your work ethic. The crew were super friendly and the cast were a family, and you didn’t feel you needed to be as guarded anymore.
You and Jared hung out after work atop the trailers, until the set closed, and then rode back to your apartment building meeting on the fire escape. Drawing long drags on cigarettes and relaxing after 12 hour days, Jared’s lanky legs would dangle overhead, you reaching in between the metal slats to pass a lighter, or some random snack.
You’d both people watch until dawn, laughing at the bodega owners chasing away rugrats and pick pockets, yelling in French at the little rascals. You spotted with your little YEC the neighbor across the street cheating on his boyfriend, while Jared spied the boyfriend kissing another…girl.
You’d both enjoyed each other’s company and you were finally starting to realize that you didn’t need to be in a romantic relationship to feel complete; you just needed to find that one lonely person in a world full of people who enjoyed sharing a drag, exhaling smoke like a dragon, and keeping watch over your cache of treasures. That person, was Jared.
