Happy birthday!!! I love that we share a name. I’ve never met my name twin before believe it or not. I’m so glad I finished this in time. It’s been a struggle trying to edit everything and make it look as real as possible (no one judge I know it didn’t turn out that great). These are literally the captions my parents and I used when I had my birthday earlier this year so that made it so much easier to come up with captions but anyway I HOPE YOU ENJOY YOUR BIRTHDAY 🎉 🎉🎉🎉

A little something I've dreamed up today for Jared Padalecki's birthday AKA Padappreciation day 2018 :) slightly inspired by my job (I work in confectionery wholesale 😊) and the gif below
As I'm on mobile not sure on word count and can't add the keep reading so sorry if I clog up your dashes!
"Jared? Are you nearly ready? Our reservation's in an hour!" You yelled as you hooked your earrings in and gave your appearance one final look over.
"Jared?!"
Rolling your eyes, you started making your way through the house, expecting to find Jared playing with the dogs. But it wasn't until you got to the kitchen that you found your husband, and the reason why he hadn't answered you.
"Jared! What are you doing?! We're going out for dinner!" You couldn't help but giggle at the sight of your 6ft5 husband, stuffing candy into his mouth like a child.
"Y/N. This is happiness for me." Jared mumbled, holding up the big plastic tub of fizzy rainbow belts, just one of the different candies sent over by your cousin Roxy, courtesy of her job as "one of Willy Wonka's Oompa-Loompas" as Jared always called it.
"Happiness eh?"
"Yep."
"You're gonna ruin your appetite."
"It's fine. We're going out for Texan BBQ. Always room for some meat. This is just a little snack, you know? Keep my energy levels up."
"That's probably a good idea. Being a Dad is tiring work."
"What did you just say?" Jared stared at you, half a rainbow belt hanging out of his mouth.
"Being a Dad is tiring. You need a lot of energy for that." You smirked.
"OH MY GOD!!" Jared yelled, before dropping the candy and hugging you.
Warnings: mention of/theme of cancer, brief description of hospital setting, fluff.
Author’s Note: I’m sorry if anything in this isn’t completely accurate (medically, etc.). The only experience I have with cancer is watching a family friend suffer, before quickly succumbing to complications with chemo. This story is written in their memory. Please read the warnings and let me know if I have left any out.
Feedback is appreciated.
You pulled your IV fluid line alongside you before sitting on the small love seat beside the large hospital room window. You couldn’t tell if it was the artificial light making you sick, or the last dose of medication. Either way, you needed something to distract you from it all.
And you absolutely loved the rain.
You settled onto the small sofa and unrolled the freshly cleaned blanket that had been resting on the side table. For the first time in your four-day hospital stay, you were strong enough to get up on your own, and were feeling well enough to actually become bored.
“Y/N?” you heard the sweet sound of your boyfriend call out from the doorway. He hesitated, studying the open door, before turning his gaze to you. “Can I come in?”
You nodded, smiling. “Yeah. I’m doing better today. I guess I can have visitors. And you won’t have to wear that silly mask this time.” Jared smiled lightly, then slowly made his way over to you.
“Are you allowed to be up by yourself?” he asked narrowing his gaze. He knew you were stubborn, and you could tell that he wasn’t going to trust your answer anyway.
“They didn’t say I couldn’t. Plus, I’m still in my room. I feel a lot better today, other than the medications making me a little nauseated.” You peered up at the rain. “But I don’t want to talk about that. I should be going home in a few days. That’s all I care about.” You curled your legs under you, trying your hardest to hide from the constant chill of the hospital.
“Have you eaten anything?” Jared asked, standing just out of reach. You shook your head.
“Not since last night, but I’ll try some dinner later.” You patted the sofa beside you. “Come watch the rain with me, Jare. It makes me feel better.” Jared smiled wider than you had seen in a while. He didn’t hesitate to take the empty seat beside you, before collecting you into his warm embrace. You leaned your head against his shoulder.
“It’s really coming down out there,” he muttered, stroking your arm lightly. He stopped his hand just before he reached your elbow, not wanting to get tangled in the tubes.
“Yeah. I hope it rains the day I go home. I’ve always seen rain as a good omen.” You chuckled dryly. “I mean, it’s raining today, and the doctor told me that the antibiotics are kicking this stupid infection from my system. I guess the fourth antibiotic was the charm, huh?”
“I guess so.” Jared leaned his head against yours. “If that’s the case, I never want the rain to end.” You just smiled as he hugged you a little tighter. You knew he worried about you, and when the next nasty infection was going to hit you. You were strong, there was no denying that. But, reality of it was that you had cancer, and it was fighting almost as hard to bring you down.
Jared began to sing a song that you remembered hearing on the radio the other week. He was a little off key, but you didn’t care one bit. You loved to hear his voice. And he loved to be right there by your side. Because, honestly, he didn’t know how much time he had left with you. And he was going to be there thought every step of your fight.
A little something I cooked up for @sillesworldofwriting - happy birthday sweetie! I literally typed this up on my phone in 20 mins so it's unbeta-d and I have no idea on word count 😂
Dropping onto the couch, you reached for the T.V. remote. While you waited for Netflix to load, you made sure you bumper bag of peanut butter cups was close to hand. You didn't plan to move until you absolutely had to. After all, it's your birthday so why not treat yourself? And with work being more stressful then usual and your husband still at work, it was up to Reese's and Netflix to make today good. Clicking on the first episode of Season 5, you wriggled further into the couch, finding the best spot to laze and do nothing. You loved this particular season, not just because of the episodes themselves, but because it was the season you met your now husband. Letting the T.V. play on in the background, you let the memories lull you into sleep.
A loud creaking sound pulled you from your nap, and you glanced towards the T.V., thinking it was just a sound effect. But the screen showed nothing more then that annoying 'are you still watching' message, and another creak from the hallway reached your ears. Scrambling for your phone, you were about to dial 911 when a large form appeared in the lounge doorway.
"Jared?!"
"Hey, bab- oof!!" Dropping his bags onto the floor, Jared wrapped his arms around you as you flung yourself at him.
"What are you doing here?!" You squealed.
"I live here?" Your husband wisecracked, earning a punch in the arm for his troubles.
"Hilarious. I thought you weren't home til the weekend."
"Babes." Slowly lowering you to your feet, he grasped your face between his hands and softly kissed you. "Did you really think I would miss my best girl's birthday?"
The look of love he gave you, coupled with the overwhelming emotions that he was home with you on your birthday, caused you to burst into tears.
"Babe?"
"I'm OK. Just a little emotional."
Kissing you on your forehead, Jared wrapped you up in his long arms and waited for your sniffles to stop.
"How's about we stretch out on the couch, watch whatever, and then tonight I take you put for dinner?"
