When this song was first released during the early 1990s, Autumn was convinced that James Brown was dead just because she heard it in a song. She said, ‘Why would they make a song about James Brown being dead if he wasn’t really dead?”

Sharon and I were into dance/techno music, techno became hugely popular for the first time during the 1990s. We knew that James Brown was still alive when this song was released but Autumn tried to convince us that he was dead.

James Brown died in 2006 and when he died I told Autumn that he was dead and I reminded her, “Remember when you were trying to convince us that he was dead in the 1990s?” and she said, “He was dead” and I said, “He can’t die twice”.
