- comforted each other for being too gay to function (chromedome’s always a mess about how much he doesn’t deserve rewind and how it’s all going to fall apart between them some day while brainstorm is half-way out of his mind from wanting perceptor to notice him, ever, and always melancholy about quark in the corner of his mind)

- definitely were the terror of the facility, chromedome egging on brainstorm’s more conceptual weapons of mass destruction and feeding him ideas about how to test them

- brainstorm babbling about Some Bullshit slung over chromedome’s lap while cd reads a report from Rung

- chromedome ranting about a colleague to a disinterested brainstorm, who only chimes in to supply expletives and insults

- chromedome feeling anxious and wanting to wipe his memory and brainstorm begging him every time to hold on a little longer, wait it out a few more days

- brainstorm working faster and more diligently on the briefcase whenever chromedome eventually does wipe

- brainstorm telling chromedome about quark

- chromedome having to drag brainstorm back to his quarters after his shift, just to make sure he doesn’t accidentally stay up all night working on it and end up working two shifts

- chromedome asking what the briefcase is for the first time, and then never again when brainstorm tells him not to bring it up

- brainstorm letting chromedome touch him, something he’s not used to, something he’s been getting a reputation for around the facility (don’t touch the jet, he’s antsy, he’s flighty, he’s prudish) and doing it often and publicly and gently - putting his hands on his shoulders, tapping his mask when he’s being an asshole, resting his arm on his hip when they sit, laying across his lap or against his back

- chromedome yelling at brainstorm for being a selfish, elitist ass and brainstorm firing back about cd being mopey and needy and dependent on everyone else to face the consequences of his own actions for him and them both screaming insults until brainstorm says something inane and chromedome mimics it or chromedome hits something too deep and they both take a few breaths before calling each other a bastard and moving on

- rewind and brainstorm

- rewind’s never concerned about or jealous of chromedome and brainstorm because he gets it: the way chromedome loves him is not the way he loves brainstorm, and the two can share space easily

- chromedome has two hands - he can mess with brainstorm’s wings and hold rewind’s hand, watch a movie while brainstorm eventually gets bored and starts taking notes on chromedome’s datapad

- rewind backs up brainstorm 101%, just as much as chromedome does, because he’s a disaster and a motherfucker but he’s ours and we love him but he does get banned from lab rotations for a while after almost melting the facility and confined to their quarters so they can keep an eye on him
