I was super tired and had this kind of "asleep but awake dreaming" where James is attacked by one of Sendak's or Haggar's soldiers/followers and Romelle saves him by throwing a heavy object on the soldier, saying: "Don't. Touch. My boyfriend!" And then she runs to attack again while James just stands there all: "........." 😳😳😳😳

(07/05/19) What I’m working on right now...
The trip from New Altea to Earth was not a long one. Keith had made the trek more times than he could count and it never felt long to him before. This time though, he felt like he’d been in this shuttle for a year. The shuttle felt about half its actual size, too. Far too small to escape Romelle’s excited chatter… and God did he want to escape her excited chatter!
To be fair- he didn’t begrudge the woman he’d come to consider a sister (one of two- Acxa being the other) her excitement, nor did he normally take issue with her tendency to think out loud. It was fine. Cute even. She was clever and kind and funny and he usually loved hearing how her mind worked.
It was just…
She wouldn’t shut up about James Griffin and he had heard enough quiznaking praise for James Griffin before they’d even ended up in the same flight class at the Garrison to last him his entire half-Galran lifespan! He just… didn’t have the heart to tell her to change the subject or be quiet.
Romelle had been through.. A lot… and if all she was asking of Keith was to sit there and listen, occasionally make some sound to prove he was paying attention, then he’d be the worst kind of lowlife to deny her such a small thing. Right? Right. Definitely a jackass move to tell her to shut-up about someone who made her eyes light up like that.
