Jacques always talks so big, always postures up with his blunt cocktail sword pointed right at your throat whenever you visit him. The thing about him is that almost nobody in the house ever choose to come to the bottle (for good reason, he’s not the most hospitable chap), but even fewer actually choose to fight him back. It’s like everyone sees him as this angry nuisance they can just avoid, not an actual threat. So, for lack of a better term, he’s incredibly battlestarved. He is just ITCHING to throw down with someone. And when you get together just for him to discover you have a habit of turning every kiss and caress into a full on war, he is overjoyed.

I think for love languages, he loves giving and receiving physical touch

You two tease each other A LOT, and it's so silly to have him narrating your execution while he's swinging your hand back and forth

Whenever he's around you, he's often leaning against your shoulder or nudging your foot with his until you get annoyed and throw a pillow at him

While he does like annoying you, all you have to do is just say something flirty or kiss his cheek and he just kind of... shuts down.

He'll stare off into space for a second before tugging his hat down over his face and muttering about insubordination

The longer you two are in a relationship, the more used he gets to your flirting, but that doesn't mean he'll stop blushing if you call him handsome

He's not a very jealous boyfriend, he just gets pouty if you're so busy talking to someone that you let go of his hand or smth

It's so hard for him to surprise you though because if he's planning a date, he'll unintentionally end up narrating his date plans to himself which you end up overhearing but maybe just don't tell him you heard ;)

I feel like when he sleeps alone, he tends to starfish, but when you're sleeping in the same bed, he'll always seem to end up cuddling with you even if he falls asleep on the opposite side of the bed

You two often rotate sleep positions. For example, who's the little spoon/big spoon, or honeymoon hugs, or maybe just lightly draping your arms over each other if it's too hot to be super close.

He brags about you often to anybody who'll listen, but specifically, he'll brag to Beau that he has an amazing and beautiful partner. It doesn't matter if said person wants to listen to him; they're gonna hear about how much he loves you

While he does talk about you, if you ever talk about him to other people and he overhears you telling them how amazing of a boyfriend he is? He's blushing and kicking his feet

He's also appreciative when you notice that any teasing is becoming too much because while he does love it, he's got boundaries, of course.

Honestly, he doesn't really notice until you mention it to him. He just called you by the name you introduced yourself with and never questioned it

He takes more care when he touches you now. If you haven't had surgery and you're still a little body-conscious, he keeps his touches centered around your shoulders, back, and hands instead of around your chest.

Never ever tolerates anyone misgendering you, especially if someone does it on purpose, he gets so mad at them for disrespecting you

He's also surprisingly good at helping you remember to take any medication

Lemme tell you, if you two ever come across a transphobic person in public or online, Jacques is absolutely frothing at the mouth

You have to hold him back from pouncing on said transphobic person but his rather... colorful narrations of how he'd dismember them are still said

The two things he has no patience for is the disrespect of himself, and the disrespect of you

When you do get your surgery he is so proud of you

Jacques Perriot with a partner who is super physically affectionate. They're always touching his hair, tilting his chin up to make eye contact, curiously tracing his scars, etc. He'd love it hate it soooo much, totally :)
