I did a massive thing Okay so basically the bases for this thing^^^^^ is that I got really bored and saw an interesting art challenge thingy where you have to create 10 different manga like covers each basically a different series and genre. I thought it was so flibbin interesting I decided why the hell not! And of course I chose a shonen style manga cover first. So in the spirit of doing this challenge correctly, I present to you: XJack (cross Jack) Genre: Shonen Summary: College dropout Aidan Flint’s life has never been normal. Unable to be electrocuted nor burned, he’s put himself through dares not even the craziest of fools would go through. However one dumb dare led to another and before he knew it, he was robbing a museum warehouse of ancient artifacts. Little did he know that on that day, his life would go from worse to insane thanks to the fact the the artifacts are possessed by the restless soul of his pirate ancestor XJack the Heavy Blades. Now Aidan is haunted by his long dead relative who seems to have his own odd interest in his stubborn predecessor’s life.

Flint
The third Jack Flint story I have written (second chronologically) and just continuing the tradition of hurting him to see what kind of man he is. One day soon, he needs to be given a real story to explore...
A PI of the Old School
It used to be that a PI was a guy with a trenchcoat, a fedora and a .38 revolver. The bottle of bourbon was optional, but most of us needed something to get us through the bad days and we didn't often know any other kind. We weren't angels, but we made a difference.
These days, a PI's a guy with a camera and a fancy lens taking photos two blocks away. That was my life, mailing dirty pictures to jealous wives and telling myself I hadn't changed.
When she walked into my office though, it was like the old days again. The kind of woman who made my heart beat faster just watching her walk across my office, a body that could stop traffic and eyes that could crush a man with a look.
"I need a real PI," she told me. "I need a man who can get results."
Writing Prompt: "...and he watched. What else could he do?"
The third in a series of articles chronicling my output from writing exercises, this is less about ‘good writing’ and more about working to constraints without over-thinking them.
The aim this time was to finish a 750-word exercise with the words "...and he watched. What else could he do?" to help get these words (paraphrased from a children's book my daughter loves) out of my wife's head. I am not sure how much help I was, but it also gave me the chance to get Jack Flint down on the page before he finished driving me crazy. I managed to restrict myself to only 49 words over the target, but I am treating these targets as being more like guidelines than rules or limits.
