Japanese G3M Rikko / Nell wreck on Iwo Jima by TK622 Via Flickr: The wreck of a G3M bomber photographed on Iwo Jima. Just behind the G3M, where its tail would be, the wreck of a single engine plane can be seen. The rest of the mangled metal visible in the photo might belong to different planes, too. It appears to me like the G3M was undergoing some repairs when it was completely destroyed. The cleanly removed wings and engines don't look like the result of an attack to me. Hey! In case you didn’t know, I host a podcast with my good friend Sam.
It’s a rewatch podcast about the anime Bleach, discussed from the perspective of fans who watched it years ago.
You don’t have to know anything about Bleach to enjoy it! We summarize each episode as we go, and while I think the pod is a great companion to the anime, watching the anime is not required. :)
We’ve been on a two month hiatus while my mental health has been down the gutter, but we’re back starting tomorrow 5/11 at 11 AM, and it would mean the world to me if you’d check out the show (start at the beginning, probably!) and/or share it and spread the word! Thanks very much!
Listen to It'll Wash Out: A BLEACH Rewatch Podcast on Spotify. It's happening, we're watching Bleach, and we're talking about it. Please hel
Charles White's 1945 mural @michaelrosenfeldart.com
Strong, capable and key to the nation’s economy, this female figure was a highlight of Charles White’s 2018-19 MoMA retrospective. Now, Michael Rosenfeld Gallery is spotlighting a mural study by White, created for the International Workers Order interracial, co-ed kids summer camp in NJ where White oversaw the art program in the summer of 1945. An accompanying text highlights this White’s politics and digs into the mural’s complex iconography, which melds west African and Buddhist references with influence from Mexican mural painting tradition.
