what decks do you play in mtg? :o
I play a little bit of everything when I can but I've found I don't enjoy playing mid-range as much. In commander I have three that I enjoy.
First is my favorite, werewolves. Definitely more aggro. Looking to win with a combat step repeat or triumph of the horde. Includes one of my favorite planeswalkers, Arlinn Kord.
Second is my dino stompy deck. I recognize that due to the ramp needed this is definitely a more mid-range deck. Also more fragile in most metas cause it's creature based and high costed. However I cannot turn away my dino autism and hitting someone in the face with a 12/12 will always be satisfying. Plus I have a deck box that's designed like the doors from Jurassic Park.
Finally, if I'm playing control my favorite it's grixis control. Commander is less relevant although I like Bolas or Kess most of the time. Grixis has that sort of evil mastermind vibe to it that makes it really easy for me to get into the role I need to play at the tabletop. Control players especially in commander need to be able to politic but also to be ruthless when needed. A lot of them are bad at commander control cause they get the feel bads cause they're playing control but like you're a healthy part of a meta. Otherwise it's all dinosaur decks. Embrace that the table is gonna hate you a little (just maybe have some consistent goad so their hate is impotent).
I don't normally play 60 card but I enjoy tempo decks there.
When in limited, I find myself always playing boros or mardu aggro. Sometimes azorius flyers but only if that's an available archetype.
