What two special nights, Portuguese Cinema Awards! As last year my film MARIA was awardeded with best actress and best film for the international jury, I with was thrilled to be invited to be part of this year’s jury, so for having the chance to catch up with almost 60 short and feature films from Portugal and around the world. One week watching films from alll over - yessss. With my fellow colleagues we’re very happy to have offered the awards to the beautiful films of Cláudia Craveiro Santos (I wish instead of a camera I had a fly, PT) and of Martin Winter (Freigang, AT). Besides the films, there was another special moment to witness: the celebration of Isabel Ruth’s career, a grandious actress demonstrating once again a sharp humour, energy, and values that kicked us all. We’ll always be inspired by your magnificence... AND WHAT A DANCE YOU OFFERED US, ISABEL!
