d arcy is a good actor, their acting in pre seasons is good but this season its cringe and awkward. it looks wooden at times, during the jace scene, the awkward hands, the over the top voice modulation and expressions were meh. then the otto beheading scene was cringe asf i was cringing hard at the fugly snot drip

all rhaenyra did was cry and scream this ep and that too much. the fans saying she deserves an emmy for this are the same fans who said tom crying and screaming as aegon after b&c was not a parameter for good acting. what happened now? for all the screen time and character depth d’arcy gets their acting is mid at best

I am going to get so much hate for saying this.

I think the best Emma acting for the episode was the scene where Rhaenyra ascends the throne. I think they deliberately choose to play Rhaenyra every season more and more insecure about herself. And that is not working for most of the time. I actually find hilarious even back in S1 when she walk to the table (war room) and this epic MCU style entrance and when she gets there she look around as someone that doesn't know shit.

And too sometimes her outrage comes out as childish and naive. But Rhaenyra should not be that. Not even when Milly played Rhaenyra she come out as that.

To be very honest. Watching even now some leak scenes I think the production made a mistake

Olivia is great as Alicent and she genuinely could win awards if they give her /Alicent the material they give Emma for Rhaenyra.
