I mean, I think it comes down the the experience of pity and the connection to pity porn. I donāt actually feel like people are empathizing when they pity me for some reason. Their pity comes via distance, often with a side of superiority. I donāt need pity. I need empathy.
Right, this is exactly what Iām talking about.Ā Where is that implication (of superiority or condemnation) coming from?Ā It is literally NOT a part of the definition of the word pity (which actually includes the words compassion and sympathy).Ā So these characters who are hurting, sure, they donāt want judgement or condemnation, but do they not want someone to recognize that they are dealing with emotional or physical obstacles?

Dude I love Tunalock! that was so funny especially since it was just a oneoff joke until half the fandom got pissy about the idea of a Tunalock au, so the art exploded. I was never Sherlock fandom but I learned of this origin story and I fucking love fan things that are made out of spite. Iāve made great fic out of spite.

I donāt stream too often with uni and stuff, but when I do itāll most probably be on Picarto if Iām drawing, just because thereās less delay and anyone can join chat on Picarto without having to make an account. The downside to Picarto is that it doesnāt seem to record streams like Twitch does, but I could record stuff and put it up somewhere if you wanted :)
