Buzz-buzz-buzz
Luke: [age 15] "Check out that green car. That's pretty cool."
Mom: "That is pretty cool. It actually reminds me of one of those buzz-buzz-buzz cars from the amusement park. You know, the kiddie ride with all the cars that just go in a circle? And you've got a steering wheel that doesn't do anything so you just keep hitting the horn button and it makes a buzzing noise?"
Me: "Stuck going in circles with steering that doesn't do anything and all you can do is buzz? Sounds like adulthood."
Mom: "You know what I mean about that ride."
Me: "Yeah, it's like a merry-go-round for little kids, but it's just different styles of cars in a circle, and you can hear the buzz-buzz-buzz everywhere in the park."
Mom: "Parents put little kids on that ride because you have to put little kids on every ride they're big enough for. I always seemed to get the green car for some reason."
Luke: "And it goes buzz-buzz-buzz because the kids just keep hitting the button."
Mom: "Right. And when we were kids, you didn't have all these ride-on electronic toys that made noise. You had to go to the amusement park and ride the buzz-buzz-buzz cars."
Me: "When we were kids, we had to make the buzz-buzz-buzz noises at home all by ourselves! You have no idea how easy you had it, just pressing a button to annoy your parents."
Mom: "That's right! We had to be annoying all on our own!"
Me: "Dang, things were tough back then."
Luke: "Don't worry. You're still annoying."
Sibling: *turns on hamilton music*
Me: *hears it and is about to sing along*
Sibling: *turns it off again just to irritate me*
