1. BEKHAUF by bloodywood ft. BABYMETAL. this song is SO good. i have really enjoyed what i’ve heard from bloodywood, babymetal is one of my favorite bands, and together they made an awesome collaboration! i don’t have much to say except wow does this song get me hyped up. kon! kon! is also quite good (their other collab) but i definitely prefer bekhauf between the two! oh also the music video for this song is AWESOME and i’ll link it down below as well! warning for flashing lights.

2. caramel by sleep token. wah i could talk for hours about most sleep token songs but i do have to say, caramel miiiight be one of my favorite tracks off even in arcadia, and one of my favorite sleep token songs ever. i have cycled through every song on eia being my favorite, but caramel has come back out on top for me, multiple times now.

i could spend a long time just talking about the lyrics, about how in this specific song i can feel vessel’s pain so deeply, how every bit of his heart and sadness has been imbued in this song and i think that’s why i love it so much; it’s such a raw depiction of how fame and expectations can rip you up and make doing what you love so incredibly hard. and being that vessel and ii are anonymous, you don’t see their real world struggles as vividly as you do through their lyricism. but along with everything i’ve just said, i’ll tie the lyrics portion of this entry up in a bow with: they’re perfect. that’s all.

i listen to this song repeatedly. it is one of my autism repeat tracks. i listen to it when i’m happy, when i’m sad, when i’m excited, when i’m crying, when i’m with others, when i’m by myself. i know every word to this song and i have a feeling it will probably be number 1 on my spotify wrapped at the end of the year (your formal warning). just the switch from the light, reggaeton, almost minecraft-y vibe during the first 2/3 of the song into the heavy, desperate, almost regretful ending? i cannot stress how much i love this song.

i could say more but for the sake of brevity, i’ll end this portion here. i may say more when inevitably caramel ends up on another one of my songs of the week!

3. eepY.EXE by CVLTE & iRis.EXE. this song gets stuck in my head so easily. also the lyrics are big relatable for me, as i have always struggled with sleep issues and am just an eepy person in general. but it’s like. my eepiness is evil, not cute lmao it also reminds me of several other songs in many of the different parts (it’s kind of a diverse song) and i can’t pinpoint which ones they are. if y’all have any ideas please let me know cuz i know one of the songs it reminds me of intimately and i cannot for the life of me put my finger on it. lastly, i found this song because i really love iRis.EXE, i have never listened to CVLTE outside of this song but they do seem pretty good as well!

4. iris by the goo goo dolls. well, i’m sure many of you have heard this one. and a lot of people meme on it but truly it is one of my favorite songs, and it has stayed in my playlist through many of my eras. it has resurfaced recently for me for some reason, but i actually found myself crying while singing it the other day lmao the guitar solo in this song is so good as well. this song is a good way for me to release some of my more difficult emotions, especially some of my deep intrinsic feelings of loneliness that i have specifically been feeling lately. overall one of my longtime favorites!
