Motivation can only get you so far, to really get shit done you need discipline. Obviously not my quote, this idea has been a studyblr thing for a while, but I like it so I nicked it.
I’m happy to make more of these if anyone has a quote they like?

Spending the afternoon after school in the art room getting ahead on work is always great :) Diversity conferences are amazing as well. I got to hear from so many different people of so many different backgrounds.

Motivation to do maths?
Hey anon! My first thought every time I do maths is ‘well why on earth do you need to work out that?? Just google it?’ However, I think the thing that motivates me the most is that if the person who first solved the problem found the solution, then I can too.
Maths is one of them things, you either get it straight away or you don’t. So don’t be afraid to ask for help. Sometimes you just need someone to go through the problem with you step by step, after all ‘a problem shared is a problem halved’ (☞゚ヮ゚)☞
I find when it comes to exams and you get faced with a problem and your brain just goes ‘WTFWTFWTFWTF?!?!?’ you just need to take a deep breath and go through it slowly in your head, almost explaining it like your teacher would. It then becomes less scary than you thought it was.
But in terms of math homework etc treat yourself after doing so much (I advise the pomodoro method), that way you have something to look forward to. Also try to make it more fun and interactive so it is more engaging, you can do this by drawing out the problem in different colours, make a model version and even listen to music whilst you try to crack the problem. Another thing is to do maths (the bad subject) first followed by a good subject (English for example). Don’t leave the bad subjects till last because you’ll keep procrastinating about it.
