Throwback Tuesday - is that a thing? I dabbled with stained glass making in the late 70's when I first moved to Hawaii and lived on Sunset Point Oahu. (Oahu was our initial landing point because we moved here with 3 dogs (Irish Setter, poi dog and cocker spaniel) and the only quarantine area was on Oahu.) As for the my stained glass making I enjoyed it for several years including here on Kaua'i in Ha'ena where I sold some at the Princeville Plantation Store also one of my first jobs... I had 2 major issues with this art form #1 - it was dangerous to my family - glass shards could be found everywhere #2 - I couldn't seem to create a straight line no matter what. My first husband was a very talented carpenter and had to be uber creative with his frame making to square them off for me. At least my current art form is safer for all involved! Do you have stories like this to share from your past as a creative soul? This resides in my bathroom window facing the rising sun and caught my eye this morning. #throwbacktuesday #stainedglass #creativesoul #hawaiilife #sunsetpoint #oahu #kauai #kauailife #tuesday #tuesdaythought #memorylane #irememberwhen #doglover #nationaldogday #meetthemaker #haena #princeville #northshore #islandlife #islandgirl #1970s #sunrise (at Petrina Blakely Kaua'i Hand Painted Textiles) https://www.instagram.com/p/B1rQAcAhDY2/?igshid=udrco2vzendo
