today marks 2 months since having to say goodbye to him. we had him for 12 years and it was definitely an adventure. i called him lucky number 13, being the 13th dog we've had (the first 2 had 9 puppies & even though we didn't keep all, i still count them). never having a husky before, it was definitely a new experience though.

he was a very sweet (and slighyly mischivous) boy. he liked to hold ballons by the tied end (or attached string) and shake them around. he let me play dress up with him for pictures quite often. he often came to fetch me from my room to walk around the house if i spent too much time editing. and if i stayed in bed too long (usually coz of depression) he would come scold me for being in bed and waitied in the room til i was vertical. he also sang along to one specific panic! at the disco song (this is gospel) when i played it on the guitar and howled along to anything i played on the melodica. never howled at the moon though. . .despite my many attempts to teach him to do so.

obviously losing a pet is hard, i've been through it before. it's something you silently agree to go through when you get a pet. but the pain of saying goodbye is nothing compared to the time you get with them before that - no matter how long or short.
