#invisibleillnessweek !!!! Shoutout to all my fellow #lymewarriors 💚💚 believe it or not when I took this picture last October, I was at my worst Health-wise from #chroniclymedisease & #bartonella. My neurological symptoms were HORRENDOUS. I could not drive, I was having speech difficulties, I was dropping things and having difficulties holding stuff, my arms were too weak to shower, I would start a sentence and then couldn't remember what I was talking about, my vision was constantly messed up, my mind felt like it was in a complete haze and I was constantly out of it and dazed. Very scary shit for a 19 year old. Can you tell from this picture? So many people we encounter on a daily basis are fighting chronic illnesses only they can feel that are completely naked to the public eye. #invisibleillnesses are real and soul crushing. When you are SO severely ill yet "you don't look sick, you still look pretty" is said to those suffering, it is not a compliment! how we look on the outside doesn't determine the state of our health. So always be kind, especially if someone doesn't "look sick" to you. They could very well be infusing medicine in public under their clothing and you would have no clue🙈 (guilty of this) #shh
