The Intermarium concept had a lot of issues, from "expecting CEE nations to co-operate with each other during the interwar period" to "expecting your neighbours to want to join forces with you when you've been systematically pissing all of them off since you took power" to "considering some of Piłsudski's views, an Intermarium led by him would have likely been a Polish Empire in all but name"
But the fact that the reason Britain and France opposed the idea was "why would we want Eastern Europeans defending each other against the Germans and Soviets? The Russian Empire will be back soon anyway, so what's the point in upsetting the status quo?" is so on-brand for the West
