A flag for Mars - "Interconnect"
from /r/vexillology Top comment: "Interconnect" is a flag for the united colonies (and eventual nation) of Mars. Symbolism includes: * Inspired by the Sikh Nishan Sahib flag. * The color scheme is largely an imitation of Mars' actual environment: the dusty surface, the thin atmosphere, and space above. * Additional possible reading: Martian colonies (orange) are always in conflict with the destructive forces of the universe (black). Human ingenuity and determination (blue) is all that separates the two. * In-line with the above reading, central rings express triumph over destruction, with the Martian colonies surrounding and containing space and, thus, ruin.
