It started back in 2009 when some representatives of the store got some crates full of clay tablets and other artifacts of that nature from the middle east

Said artifacts where acquired by some evangelical christians and intended to be put in some sort of Bible museum (keep in mind that these might have been stolen)

Then the us customs got involved and really didn't like that hobby lobby was importing all of these potentially stolen goods so they seized some of them

That resulted in a legal battle of some sort that got most of it not all of the artifacts returned in time as well as hobby lobby having to pay 3 mil
