(PERSONAL STORY ALERT: I remember the time he won his Oscar hazily, and as an Egyptian myself, i was so excited over this even though i didnโt know what it was for. I was like yessss a good representation!! Then I got curious and read about the film and found out it was about Freddie Mercury, another Eastern man, and that got me even more excited! However, I was still not that much into music so when I heard the song, Bohemian Rhapsody, for the first time i was confused. Years later, i gave the song another chance and it didnโt disappoint. It became one of my core memories, and Freddie himself inspired me to be openly and happily queer! Soooo i guess without that little search i did around 2019, i wouldnโt remember and reconnect with the song at all. So thx Rami and hbd!!)
